Gaming Nexus starts us off with an "A-":
Back in July at Ubisoft's Nintendo event, I regretted not having time to do a full hands-on with Clash of Heroes. Now I'm kind of happy that I didn't it made the eventual surprise even better. Just be careful with Might and Magic Clash of Heroes it contains a dark power. It can eat your life. Like Tetris, Clash of Heroes will have you seeing formations of troops when you close your eyes at night. I was literally in traffic the other day next to a line of black cars with a red one in the middle, thinking that if I moved the red car, the black ones could charge up.
Tech-Gaming also goes with an "A-":
Although the title and cover art may infer a second-rate RPG, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is a delightfully complex strategy game that deserves a place in any cerebrally-minded DS owner's library. With a solid narrative, a woefully addictive battle system and a design which takes advantage of the DS hardware, Clash of Heroes unequivocally ranks among the year's best portable games.
And Kombo finishes off with a 9.5/10:
Clash of Heroes can be summed up very easily. This is one of the best games of 2009. Capybara Games needs to be commended for taking a franchise that nobody cares about any more and turning it into something that deserves undivided attention by using an innovation, beautiful art and smart game design to keep the gameplay addicting.
