Large-scale exhibition program with stage events, costume competitions on the main stage, cult model Gina-Lisa at the booth and a cappella metal band '˜Van Canto' to play live
Berlin, 23/07/2010: For the biggest European gaming exhibition Gamescom 2010 Frogster has organized a varied program of events for all online role-playing fans. The MMO publisher will be presenting its virtual worlds to the public on two large areas in hall 9.1 of the Cologne exhibition grounds between the 19th and 22nd of August. At stand C020/B021 Frogster gives first insight in his recently-announced top title TERA with its groundbreaking action combat system, which allows players to experience a world where their actions, teamwork and combat expertise give them a chance to actively control their destiny. Frogster's second upcoming game, the previously-announced action-MMOG Mythos and their popular online role-playing game Runes of Magic will be presented on booth C021 nearby. Fans will be able to try out first playable versions of TERA and Mythos as well as a current version of Runes of Magic on 40 high end computer terminals. More information for players on Frogster's Gamescom program will shortly be available on the websites www.tera-europe.com, www.runesofmagic.com and www.mythos-europe.com.
The creativity of the RoM community will be put to the test in a large costume competition which will add an interactive element to the exhibition. The contest will take place on Friday the 20th from 16:00 until 17:30, and on Saturday the 21st of August from 15:00 until 16:00 on the main stage at Gamescom embedded into an extraordinary fashion show. Dedicated fans of Runes of Magic will have the one-off opportunity to strut their stuff on the catwalk in self-designed costumes honoring the virtual world of Runes of Magic. A first-class jury including the cult model Gina-Lisa Lohfink will award valuable RoM-themed Casemod-PCs to the best entries. Gina-Lisa, who has recently appeared on the German cover page of Playboy, will be available for photos, autographs and interviews on Friday and Saturday afternoon at Frogster's stands. To round off the fashion show, the a cappella metal band Van Canto will make a live appearance on stage. The band substituting a range of instruments with their voices will present for the first time ever their new in-game video for the RoM song '˜Magic Taborea'.
Besides their performance on the main stage, Van Canto will also rock the Frogster stage at stand C020/B021 in Hall 9.1 on Friday at around 17:30. Subsequently the vocalists will also be available for autographs and interviews at the booth. Forming part of regular stage shows the former gaming TV hosts Florian Kamolz and Philipp Senkbeil will present the newly-announced MMO worlds TERA and Mythos as well as all the latest news on Runes of Magic. The leading RoM guild Delirium will demonstrate through live raids how players can adeptly bring down the Demon Lord Sirloth. Alongside many other features of the program the top guilds Delirium and Pravum will provide a fun challenge involving speed-runs. Players will also have the opportunity to win fan merchandise for all three game titles, exclusive pets for Runes of Magic and closed-beta keys for Mythos through various daily competitions taking place at Frogster's stage.
In the Business Center Frogster will once again be present at a common booth along with the German Association of Computer Game Developers GAME. At stand J020 in Hall 4.2 Frogster will be giving international media and marketing partners exclusive previews of its top titles TERA, Mythos and Runes of Magic. The first hands-on demos of TERA in Europe will focus on the MMO games' highly dynamic action combat system and showcase how players will be able to become true heroes in the face of danger.
