Consumables are the most common type of item you'll find in System Shock 2 next to ammunition, and they range from healing items, to temporary stat boosts. Below, you'll find a list of all of them.
Bag of Chips |
Description: Provides +1 Hit Point. Very common, found on dead crew members, Hybrids and Monkeys, and sold by most Replicators. |
Can of Soda & Bottle of Juice |
Description: Provides +1 Hit Point. Very common, found on dead crew members, Hybrids and Monkeys, and sold by most Replicators. |
Champagne & Vodka |
Description: Provides +2 Hit Points, but drains a few Psi Points. Very common, found on dead crew members, and in the environment. Occasionally sold by Replicators. |
Cigarettes |
Description: Drains small amount of Hit Points. Very common, found on dead crew members, and in the environment. Occasionally sold by Replicators. Pretty much useless, unless you want to kill yourself. |
Medical Hypo |
Description: Restores Hit Points, approximately 2 per second over approximately 5 seconds. Abundant throughout the Von Braun, and commonly found on Hybrids. |
Medical Kit |
Description: Restores Hit Points, in most cases entirely over the course of about 3 seconds. Rare early on, uncommon into the late game, and can be purchased from certain Replicators. |
Psi Hypo |
Description: Restores 20 Psi Points. Uncommonly found in the environment, most easily purchased from Replicators. The only way to restore Psi Points in the game, so Psi-focused characters are 100% dependent on a steady supply of these. |
Anti-Toxin Hypo |
Description: Removes toxin level, approximately 25% of the total toxicity metre. Uncommon, found most often on dead crew members, and can be purchased readily from most Replicators. Toxicity does not drain quickly on its own, so these are extremely important to keep around. |
Anti-Radiation Hypo |
Description: Removes radiation level, approximately 25% of the total radiation metre. Uncommon, found most often on dead crew members, and can be purchased from some Replicators. Radiation does damage over time but will gradually fade, making these slightly less necessary than Anti-Toxin Hypos. |
Speed Booster |
Description: Provides a temporary boost in movement speed, approximately double normal movement, for 12 seconds. Uncommon, most often found on dead crew members. Useful for escaping dangerous situations or speed running. |
Strength Booster |
Description: Provides a temporary boost to Strength, including both inventory size and melee damage. Rare, most often found on dead crew members. |
