Traits
Ancestral Guide

Increases chance of making a successful strike.

This trait is acquired by ascending into the Samurai role.


Ancient Lore

Allows the character to identify artifacts and items. The Artifacts skill determines the leve lof item the character can successfully identify.

This trait is acquired by ascending into the Warlock role or by purchasing it from the Priest, Rogue, or Wizard guilds (guild level 3 required).


Arcane Void

All harmful magic spells affecting the character are reduced by 25%.

This trait is acquired by delivering the scroll to Jathil during the third Priest guild quest in Ishad N'ha.


Arm of Argus

Increases the amount of damage inflicted on monsters when making a successful strike with a hand weapon.

This trait is acquired by asking for "power" as your wish from Genie Alababa (from the Gold Lamp of Alababa).


Backstab

If the character is invisible or hidden in shadows, any successful strike with a hand weapon will deal double damage.

This trait is acquired by ascending into the Assassin role or by purchasing it from the Rogue guild (guild level 5 required).


Berserk

Increases all hand weapon damage to monsters by 25% and increases the chance of making a successful strike, but the character will receive 25% more damage from monster strikes with hand weapons.

This trait is acquired by donating the Boogre Brew to the Idol of Bongu in the Boogre Caves.


Blacksmith

Allows the character to repair weapons and armour. The Forge skill determines the level of item the character can successfully repair.

This trait is acquired by purchasing it from the Warrior guild (guild level 3 required).


Bloodscent

The character can sense nearby monsters. If a monster is scented, a message will appear in the text window.

This trait is acquired by choosing the Gourk clan for a character.


Boogreism

The character is a Boogre creature. All Boogres gain 100 Hit Points, but magic spells are unreliable.

This trait is acquired by visiting the Boogre Caves.


Cabalist

Allows the character to cast Blessings on weapons and armour. The Blessings skill determines how many blessings the character may bestow on a single item. The character must have one or more Artifact spells in their spellbook. The ritual for blessing an Artifact may be done at any town temple.

This trait is acquired by purcashing it from the Priest guild (guild level 4 required).


Chi Master

All magic spells are cast as if thet character's Sorcery skill were too levels higher.

This trait is acquired by ascending into the Zenmaster role, reaching 12th level, and achieving guild level 6 at the Bushi Dojo build.


Cloak of Night

Grants the special power to hide in shadows. A character hidden in shadows enjoys increased ability to make successful strikes, and reduces monster's ability to target or strike.

This trait is acquired by ascending into the Ninja role or by purcashing it from the Bushi Dojo or Rogue guild (guild level 4 required).


Crusade

The character earns double experience points for all undead monsters they destroy.

This trait is acquired by purchasing it from the Priest guild (Paladin/Valkyrie role and guild level 5 required).


Deadfall

The character takes less damage from falling.

This trait is acquired by purcashing it from the Bushi Dojo or Rogue guild (guild level 4 required).


Divine Aura

Grants a 50% resistance to death spells.

This trait is acquired by ascending into the Valkyrie role and reaching 18th level or by purchasing it from the Priest guild (guild level 6 required).


Dodge

Greatly reduces a monster's ability to make a successful strike on the character.

Double Strike

Allows the character to use an accessory weapon for an automatic second strike after a successful strike. The character's second weapon skill determines the character's ability with the accessory weapon.

Grants the special power to breathe fire on monsters.

This trait is acquired by invoking the Heart of the Dragon necklace obtained in Skull Castle.


Enlightenment

All skills are treated as if two levels higher.

Evil Eye

Grants the special power to cast a gaze attack on monsters.

If the character is equipped with range weapon missiles (arrows), the character will make new ones while not engaged in combat.

Fury

Grants a 10% chance to deal double damage, and 10% chance to receive double damage from all hand weapons.

Giant Strike

Grants a 25% chance to deal double damage from hand weapons.

Heroic Legacy

Musician

Vampirism

The character is a Vampire. A Vampire can no longer be healed with healing spells. All Vampires gain enhanced combat abilities at night and suffer reduced combat abilities during the day. All Vampires gain the special Vampire Bite power, and when making a successful strike using the Vampire Bite on red-blooded creatures, the Vampire character is healed up, and the monster may become paralyzed. The Vampire's thirst for blood slowly drains their Hit Points, forcing the Vampire to seek out new victims in order to heal.

War Cry

The character may cause monsters to become afraid after a successful strike is made, which reduces the monster's ability to fight.
