You'll receive this quest from the Merchants' Guild board located in the market district of Amaranthine.


Walkthrough

From the guild board you'll learn that Ser Alvard commissioned a sword from the blacksmith living in the Blackmarsh, but that nothing was ever delivered to him. When you go to the Blackmarsh to investigate, lots of other events will attract your attention, but after completing the quest Shadows of the Blackmarsh, you'll be allowed to explore the docks area behind the village, where you'll find Ser Alvard's Sword in a decomposing crate. Picking up the sword will complete the quest and earn you 500 xp.
