Many warriors foolishly believe that they can control the tide of a battle on their own, but a guardian realizes that allies' survival is as important as an enemy's death. Guardians prefer to protect party members directly, but if necessary, they are prepared to make personal sacrifices in order to ensure that their companions live.

This specialization is only available if you have the Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening expansion pack installed. It also requires a minimum character level of 20. After acquiring the specialization, the character will gain access to four new talents and be granted +1 constitution and +5 nature resistance.
