I dislike rap music intensely. Partly because I'm getting old, and my hips have fallen off, and partly because I prefer more subtle lyrics than "b*tch! you make my fingers twitch!".

A couple of points:
-Rap music is almost exclusively music of and about life in the ghetto, ya? Stories of being ...

Speed

Similar to the 3rd level spell Haste, this spell increases the movement rate of the target by 100%. Attacks per round are increased by 1 1/2. However, the target becomes so jittery that there is a 80% chance of spell failure, and a 30% chance of the target becoming beserk. Furthermore, CHA is ...

I think that that's just one of those weird coding things. No use of the pelt at all in the game, afik.

What would be really cool is if you could take the pelt to Cromwell and have him make a set of cold-resistance boots from it.

Any takers?

Conjurers are great, but one thing I didn't take into consideration when making one is that they can't cast Identify. Oy, that was a pain.

Although, it's been good for roleplaying. There are a few things that the party is carrying around until the glasses recharge, or until the mage becomes smart ...

Blinkenlights (Posturation)
Level: 1
Duration: unknown

This spell involves a lot of waving of arms, muttering of syllables, and deep, snorting breaths. The result is that the caster is surrounded by fascinating lights, eerie sounds, and drifting bad smells. Nothing else happens, although enemies ...

I was wandering through the graveyard, clearing out all of the little rooms with my Assassin. Walked into one room, only to find a bunch of Skellywarries. Assassin hightailed it out of there, sent in Anomen. Anomen enters just as the Skellywarries leave, and sits there like a lemon as Minsc, Jaheira ...

@Eminem? You mentioned Canada's "outstanding HR record". For a second, I thought that you were joking. <sigh>

Perhaps you've forgotten, or didn't hear about, the NAFTA conference earlier this summer. The cops built a 6km fence around the conference area, emptied out as many jails as they could ...

Shadow Floor

This spell, a rather bad variant of the popular Shadow Door spell, operates in a similar way. When it is cast, the caster turns invisible and disappears into the floor (actually, has to lie down on it). The shadow floor acts as a cloak- the caster is invisible. However, this spell has ...

Dear sirs:

I feel that I must complain. We have been having a lively and informative discussion on the merits of dwarf-hurling, along with related topics. However, we appear to be under bombardment. I invite you to examine the large number of "bumps" here. Such events lead me to conclude that this ...

Would it be at all possible to set up macros for BG2? That way, you could enter in your "three rounds of buffing" macro and just call up that function when you want to use it. I think that that would result in me using more spells.

Armageddin: I've done similar. I think I've done the longest wakeathon mentioned so far- I did over five days once. That was a really bad idea, and it's drained my batteries permanently since then.

What I find helps is to get a cucumber and put a couple of slices on my eyelids. Think of it as a low ...

El Cid: China may have a very old culture, but don't assume that it's 'civilized'. During the Han and Chou dynasties (please don't lynch me if I get the spelling wrong), peasants (~80-90% of the population) were not allowed access to anything made of metal, for fear that they would revolt.
During ...

Day 922: Curses! The one with the beard has started to remain awake at 3 in the morning. Fine, so he hides in a room that I can't get into. Keeps him away from my turf. But it's not the same. it gives a lovely light.

Hopefully it's not a bug. Check that you've met the conditions to be able to go there:

1. Did you talk to the boy in the Govt. area who gives you the quest?
2. Did you talk to Jierdan Firkraag in the Copper Coronet?
3. Have you been to the city gates?

If you can answer 'yes' to all of them, then I ...
