Sort of an aside, but one of the problems with rolled stats is that it's biased towards the more specialized characters - for example, a Paladin will almost always get better rolled stats than a straight Fighter. Since any stat rolled below the min for that class gets bumped up, the more ...

One option is to slow down the level advancement. You can do that one of two ways - there's a Ding0 Experience Fixer mod you can install which reduces the XP rewards. Or you can manually edit the XPLEVEL.2DA file in your overrides folder. (Personally I edit the file - when I tried to install the mod ...
Oh right, the double-pack didnt come with a manual unfortunately
Your main question has already been answered, but for future reference, you should have a BGII manual - just not a printed version. Take a look in your BGII directory (by default it's "C:\Program Files\Black Isle ...

Yes, I've created human multi-class (and non-human dual-class) characters before, just by manipulating the race.

The problem isn't that Imoen is human - it's that she's a dual-class. While you can change her race, you can't get rid of that dual-class.

Well, the basic concept is just change her class and kit, then set her level to zero (removing all spells/abilities/etc). Then load up the game again, and level her up. That way the game takes care of giving her all the abilities she's supposed to have, and you don't have to worry about it.

However ...
is their anyway to dual into a kit?
You can do it with Shadow Keeper. After dualing, just assign the kit, and set level and thief skills back to zero (so the kit is applied for the first level).
instead of "remaining silent" or telling the demon lord to go away, you can actually give him the eggs and get something for 'em.
Actually, you can do that now - it's just that you're only given the dialog option if you're main character is evil (even neutral won't do). You can ...

Depends what I'm playing ... if I'm going with a party, it's generally single-class, usually with a kit. In a party, I like to have clear-cut roles for everyone, and keep things 'pure'.

If I'm going solo though, then it's generally multi-class (and again - usually with a kit ;) ). I figure the ...

Level 2: Melf's Acid Arrow, Mirror Image, Stinking Cloud, Strength, Web
Level 3: Fireball, Haste, Lightning Bolt, Monster ...

I can only answer the first one for you - any melee weapon that's normally usable by a thief can be used to backstab.

Thieves can't use a Mace (normally), so they can't backstab with one. They can use Staves, so that's allowed, excluding any that are class-specific for another class. (For example ...

This is a common question - you just need to install the official patch. You can get it from here

If you've installed ToB, use that patch, otherwise use the SoA patch.

(BTW - If you've only got SoA installed, but do have ToB, then I recommend installing ToB, then the ToB patch.)

Yes, importing a new character will not fix the quest - but it will 'restore' your paladin-hood (since the new character never lost it).

I have no idea if you can CLUA the status back, but creating a new character is certainly possible. The only trick is it has to be a multi-player game. If it's not already, that simply means copying it from the save folder to the mpsave folder.

When you load a multi-player game, it gives you the ...

You become a fallen paladin when your reputation gets too low (below 6 I believe). I know just adding Viconia to your party will drop your reputation by 2, so that could've been what did it (although she'd still have to have done some other 'bad' stuff to get down to a 6).

Personally, I've never ...
