Is it worth upgrading video card?

Hey

I have an ATi X700 at the moment, and I'm wondering if it would really be worth it for me to upgrade to say an ATi X1600 to play NWN2. It would cost £100 minimum for this new video card, so I'd need some persuading to make me buy it. To make things clear, the X700 falls into the "Minimum ...

Sudden performance issue *slight spoiler*

I recently went back to KOTOR II after a long absence, in which time I gained a superior Video Card and Processor. I have a Radeon X700 SE, 3GHz Processor and 1GB of RAM. I confidently put all the video options ingame up to full, and started playing. The performance was amazing, right up until I hit ...

My main gripe with the game, and I apologise if this has already been mentioned, is the hotkey system. The average mage needs more than nine spells on hand at a time, and it really stops the action when you have to access menus mid-battle to select the right spell. It's also irritating that you're ...

Why am I finding it so difficult?

I absolutely hate playing games on the "easy" setting, but I think that's what I'm about to be forced to do with Oblivion.

Somehow I managed the whole of Morrowind without any difficulty. I played as a thief, a mage, an archer - none of which were problems. But now I'm finding Oblivion near ...

It's so dark!

Okay, my character has finally run out of torches. Now the game is virtually unplayable, it being pitch black in most dungeons. And for the life of me I can't find anyone selling them.

So where can they be bought?
Remember that its not the 'real' sewers you have to go into, but a sewer grate a bit past Tin Can Bill, at the end of the alley. If you go to the normal Downtown sewers, you'll find nothing... I wasted at least 2 hours mucking around with my Ventrue for no real purpose. :p [/QUOTE ...
This game has some serious memory leaks problems:

My system is a P4 2.66GHz 1 Gb of RAM and a 5700U. I can play Half Life 2 at 1024x768 AA2x with aniso filtering. Aside from the fact that even at 1024x768 with no eye candy the performance is far worse than any other game I've tried so ...

You fake your own near-death outside of Goth clubs, hoping that some sympathetic vamp will feed you their blood.

First time through the abandoned hospital in Downtown was a nice touch.

Man, that hospital was worse than Ocean House! It was the fact that you saw the camera crew meet their fate as you progressed. The blood spatter on the door was great. But I must admit it was a bit of an anti-climax to see ...

Best area in the game? *Spoilers*

So, what did people think was the best area in Bloodlines?

Personally, I liked the Old Sewers, in the part that led up to meeting the Nosferatu, Gary. This was partially because I hadn't experienced any bugs at this point, or identified any glitches, and so the game still held a more significant ...

I'm in total agreement too. They *have* to release a sequel, and soon!

Bloodlines really is the best game I've played in a long time. The best thing has to have been the NPCs, their expressions were amazing. The acting was fabulous too. It would be wishful thinking though... to hope for a sequel ...

It's been a while since I played, but if you're referring to the song about the dragon being slain etc., then the sound file should be somewhere in your game directory. Just open it, and listen for the right lyrics, maybe?
Hope that helps.

Prince LaCroix's Accent *Mild Spoiler*

Prince LaCroix talks in an English accent, undeniably, and yet when questioned of his history, he states that he spent something like the first 200 years of his unlife in France, then travelled to America.

How exactly does that work?

The sound that annoys me is the one produced by walking around in the sewers. It's like *squishy thump, squishy thump*. I end up putting the volume down because it drives me up the wall.

You often say things in conversations like, "You *will* give me the last slice of chocolate cake."... then are surprised when the other person doesn't obey.

And on a similar note, in the arcade on the pier, there's shameless plugging of Call of Duty, with the "Call of Duty Pinball Machine".

Definetly going to watch out for the killer though. ;)

You go up to people, hit them on the head, and run away to hide in the shadows... then don't understand when they pursue and catch you!
