Two possibilities that no one seems to have thought of are Gary (the Nosferatu know all), or the fortune teller thin-blood (forgot her name) from the Santa Monica beach. From the cryptic nature of the mails I would probably got with the latter.

I guess I've been luckier than most in terms of this game's bugginess. I never got the Leopold bug, even before I started using the unofficial patch, nor most of the other bugs I've seen mentioned. It did crash to the desktop a couple of times, most likely caused by the memory bug, but that's about ...

My favorite character was definitely Aleister Grout, even though we never actually got to meet him.

Out of three times I played through the game, happened to me once. I thought it was rather funny myself

I just bought a second-hand copy of Redemption as well (had to get it after finishing Bloodlines multiple times), and I paid a $20 premium ($29 instead of $9) for a copy of the game with the manual :) . Just finishing up the first half (Prague/Vienna) and am loving it. Very different from Bloodlines ...

Tremere and firearms make for a very good mix. The beginning of the game was much harder than with my axe-murderer Malkavian, but the endgame was much easier.

I just got this for the first time (on my third character). At the end of the conversation you get a conversation topic that something about his story sounds fishy. He will then spill the beans, and spend the rest of the game apologizing to you

I have to agree with Grout's Mansion.

I've just started playing a female Tremere, and i find it much harder than my previous characters. The easiest was playing a Malkavian, using the combination of level 5 Obfuscate and Vision of Death and Berserk, and my fire-axe. Didn't have any problems at all until the very last boss.
