I arrived at the Den and one of the first things I did was take up the quest of retrieving 200 bucks from Fred. This was the only quest listed under "The Den" in my PIP. I completed the quest and then it was crossed out, but a new quest was on my list that wasn't there before and I never noticed ...

Do I need to keep the Pipe Rifle for some future use or can I sell it?

I killed as many Geckos in the Toxic Caves as I could before leaving with Smiley and I also killed the Geckos south of Dowtown Klamath, and now that Smiley has taught me how to skin them I go back to do it and their corpses are now blood stains...THAT SUCKS!

Well, I ended up taking Awareness and its nice to have. Now I've just reached level 6 and am trying to decide between Bonus Move or Quick Pockets (I do have fast shooter & Small Guns is one of my tagged skills, so QP might be good).

I have not found dynamite yet. I have searched most of the main section of Klamath and I am now in Trapper Town.

It probably is the Duton house. That would explain why I never saw 2 guys in that house, because I killed the Dutons while helping Torr gaurd the Brahmin.

Oh well, I guess I'll try to unlock the door later in the game.

My lockpick skill is one of my tagged skills and its at 49%. Ive never had problems picking other locks, but this one I've tried at least 30 times. I've also never seen ANY guys in that building, are you sure we are talking about the same building? Its a small building with some corn-stalks and a ...

Also, on a side note, there is one small building in Klamath (just to the right of the Golden Gecko). This building has two rooms in it, one of which is behind a locked door that I can not ...

In Klamath I have the opportunity to buy a 10mm pistol for 575, a leather jacket for 500, or leather armor for 1,700. Do I need to spend money on any of these now, or will I find them for free soon enough?

I'm not looking to sell rope, but there is some for sale in Klamath, along with a crowbar...should I waste my money?

Are you serious about the "NUKA-COLA Addcit"? What happens?

WOW, stuff sure is expensive in this game. I can't afford to buy/trade for much, at least not at this point. How do I know which of these items I might need and which are useless? Am I ever gonna need things like a rope, flares, a crowbar? And what does this Nuka-Cola do...seems to have no affect.

I just reached level three and get to choose a perk. There are a few that sound interesting to me but I would like to know everyone's opinion on them, or any others:

FASTER HEALING - is 2 extra points worth it?
HERE AND NOW
SWIFT LEARNER
STRONG BACK - my carrying weight is already 200 and right now ...

Why does the game manual say that characters with the "Fast Shot" trait will never even see the targeted shot icon? Can I not target my attacks with this trait? If I can, how do I do it?

I got poisoned by a scorpion near the end of the Temple of Trials. I didn't use antidote because I knew the hearler in Arroyo would heal me, which he did. After that, it no longer said I was poisoned on the game screen or on the character screen, but while walking in the villiage I got the message ...

I have noticed that in the description of the Stealing skill it says you can "steal from people or places"...what do they mean by "places"?

Wow, now I see the difference. I started over with a more balanced character and the temple was much harder. Where Narg was clobering the ants and scorpions, my new guy was taking a lot of damage and was having a hard time hitting with a the spear. How far into the game do I have to rely on melee ...

I have read that you should attempt to steal as often as possible. Is there any negative effect from stealing from "innocent" people (whether you get caught or not)?

Also, I collected all these scorpion tales in the temple...what are they good for?

By the way, what skills would you recommend for a newcommer? There are a lot of skills compared to other games I've played, but I am imagining you can get through the game withour focusin too much on some skills...is this ...

Why do you not recommend using a pre-made character? There are so many skills and abilities in Fallout that I had no idea where to start when creating my own character so I went with Narg.

I am just starting Fallout 2 (and I never played Fallout 1). I just moved up to level 2 and I'm not sure which skills to use my points on. The character I'm using is Narg...are there certain skills I should focus on for Narg that would be better than others?
