Viconia "Bug"

Just to let you guys know, I seem to have run into a "bug" with Viconia a while back and hadn't thought of posting it.

I had got a rep of 19 WITH Viconia in my party when she decided to leave. This is normal, but then instantly she said how glad she was to see me and rejoined my group. Of course ...

True, getting a girdle does kind of waste the 19 str, but then again, having a strength of 22 is better than 19.

I'm about midway with my half-orc kensai. Except for magic attacks, he is unstopable. Most of the time, he shreds apart the enemies he's attacking and the amount of critical hits is awesome....damage in teh 50-60 range on a crit! Just wait till you guys get some boots of speed and gridles that ...

I don't think it works that way. From what the manual says, you only get the AC bonus every two levels up to level 20. After that, they only get +1 AC at levels 21, 24, 27, 30, 35, and 40 for a TOTAL AC bonus of +6 for levels 20-40.

So, if a monk starts out with an AC of 9, then 20/2=10. So at ...

I too have killed dragons. I have so far killed the black dragon, white dragon, and shadow dragon with qp. I've tried with others but had to reload.

As for fists being capped at +3, I don't know either, but you may want to consult the "new" Swords and Fists book for fighters. It came out after the ...

that is correct. Number of attacks is reduced to one as is with slings. However, I find that I do a fair amount of damage with slings. Consistently in the 14-18 range with the occasional 30 or so on a critical.

Yes, the Dionysus cults were very wild. He is the god of wine and fertility. Hence it would be unsurprising to see that kind of behavior. It would also be mentioned that such descriptions written in the logs of Homer and company were somewhat biased. Dionysus was not the most popular god and a large ...

a good analysis but you forgot a few things.

Ranged combat for monks do include slings and darts. Though they can't use bow and arrows, I don't think you can grant an advantage to either.

High level abilities are the same for the monk and fighter. The reason why they don't have magic resistence is ...

Please don't make so quick an assumption that the people on these threads are uneducated louts who don't know what they are talking about.

Your post merely made a reference that God's and Mortals do not mix, mentioning that Gods must put thier duties before relationships.

My reading of your words ...

Hmm...well, I'll have to start a game in SoA at core rules to see the effects then. I don't want to start a monk in ToB. You don't get crap. Besides, what you do get are mostly are weapons and armor, both that I monk generally doesn't use. I also figure that at core rules, a monks abilities will ...

I wouldn't classify a monk necessarily as a tank. They do get hit a lot despite a low AC. Mine ended at -16 but still I got hit, although I think it would be less than most fighters. HPs arent really a problem. Glory, I know you know I am a monk fan, so I might be biased in my eval, but I find ...

I think I may have a resolution to this. Now, Cyric is the "interium" God of Murder. Yes, he is evil hence it fits the office. If you were good, then you fought this "taint" that was in you. The good ending however, never said that you took the office of the God of Murder, it merely stated that you ...

I don't think it matters. If I'm a monk, I don't need protective spells. The only ones that I care about are chant, bless, and defensive harmony. They all work. I don't need protection from the elements because I'm already magically resistant (at least I haven't had any problems with elemental damage ...

Yes, you will be able to get healed by your allies. However, some cleric spells like protections from undead will be resisted by your monk. In the end, I ended up with a -16 AC...still got hit a lot but then again I could move very quickly. Didn't need haste or boots of speed....though boots of ...

I tried to take him on one on one but it just doesn't work. I might try draging him into a room.....it didn't work even with greater whrilwind? Anywho, I had to get some magic users in order to kill him. When he is ice golem, fire does some nasty things. Then again, you might try finding a long ...

you'll find the bracers in ToB....pretty late in fact but nevertheless useful. As far as supercharacters go, I agree with Ripper. If you are interested in story though, I haven't had much luck with a monk. I solo as much as I can when i play the monk.

Does anyone pay attention to me around here? Geez! My last post said that you will retain all your equipment from the previous SoA. That means EVERYTHING!!!

As for starting a new game in ToB, I have done that also. Your main character gets some nice weapons, (The war hammer component of Crom Faer ...

According to the official website, any items you carry in SoA will be transferred to ToB. For me that's what exactly happenned as well as bonus items.

I also started a new quest straight from ToB and you don't get nearly the stuff that you would import from SoA. My recommendation is to import ...
