not sure. but when i looked at the helmets in shadowkeeper, vhailors helm wasnt there. only on with a death spell. could have overlooked it, though.
last time i used the helmet, i seem to remember it working fine..

which weapons has he slots in and how many do he get?

did you accept nalias castle before you got the sphere? you cant say no to the sphere, but the the keep. sphere/keep ...

that your npc is evil doesnt matter. its the group rep which is important.
what i can think of is this:
as you enter windspear hills, you get attack by some gnolls, iirc. they were paladins, and you are in big trouble. if you had the chat with Lord Windspear, and he went off to the city to aid you ...

perhaps the other guilds will be established as well...

the files you need is in bg2\override folder.
if you dont find them, you can download a kit, and edit those files.

ok, i will probaly get flamed for saying this, but here it goes. if you go over to the [url="http://www.bgdungeon.com"]bgdungeon[/url] forum, there are lots of kit makers. both new ones and experienced ones, they will most likely be helpfull.

1) most unlikely. ive never heard of it being used for anything

2)yes, you can put something there. if you have a romance, and you have porgressed it far enough, you will loose him/her in ch 6. meaning killed. you can then take his/hers body + a certain heart, and resurect your love.

what you need to make a kit, is this:
Infinity Engine Explorer Pro (IEEP) you get from [url="http://www.teambg.com"]www.teambg.com[/url]
and you also need drizzt tutorial to understand how to make them. if you dont wanna use the tutorial, you are on your own.

LOL, our post are almost identical

go with the sailor. you will get to underdark after a moment in another area, where you can get exp as well as items.

you can kill them, but think of it this way.
the keeper doesnt have the items on them.
so when you buy them, they go and fetches the desired item. by stealing the item, you put it under your coat, when the keeper isnt looking. but by killing him/her, you dont get to see the item at all. so you cant ...
