Wait until night comes and he opens the door to his bedroom. Go in before the door closes, wait till he goes to bed. Save. Pick his pocket. Works for me most the time.
Also works with the gnome and the invitation to the gentleman's club, and the guy with the sewer map. When you buy and ...

Any robbery is best done at night.
Spoiler:
The bank lady's key to the vault is easily pickpocketed when she's asleep. Even if you have no skill you can succeed after a couple or three tries. Save first.

Well
The only problem is this game crashes like bandit. You really need the autosaves.
For a big challenge I'd suggest playing through only with your starting armor.
Or only use the equipment you can salvage (that is, never buy anything from a merchant).
Or pick the most offensive dialogue ...

Well
Sneak can help you pick pockets, however it's even easier if you "use" a few bottles of alcohol on your victim to reduce their perception to one. Sneak also helps you take stuff from shelves without getting caught, but again it's easier if you "use" a few bottles of alcohol on any nearby ...

When the game goes to a new location it does a lot of writing to the cache and temp folders. Only problem is it never cleans them up. After a while those folders fill up, the game can't swap files, and it crashes.

Soloing is possible, fun, and maybe even desirable. Like with most RPGs the NPCs always rush in and tend to get killed. They're main use is for carrying all your treasure. (But really, by midgame I tend to have all the money I could ever need.) Most NPCs do say things that add color to the ...

When Virgil gets Major Healing he'll be able to help you. Just keep asking him each time you level until he has it.
But, yeah, the doctor in Shrouded Hills or the herbalist in Tarant should be able to take care of scars.

Like everyone says, the loss in Beauty is probably a scar. Get Major Healing to fix it.
The loss in Strength is probably a curse by Alberich. Go to his altar in the Wheel Clan caves and sacrifice a Lava Rock.

How do you change the reactions of other characters to you aside from wearing clothes or articles?
Increase your Beauty. Maxing your Charisma and Persuasion works pretty good too. Also a couple of quests help.

Firstly the "substance" appears in my inventory like a small black dot - no texture for this little techy fellow?
That's a bug.
And second ... the description points I can use it on friends and foes. I'm not actually too sure what it does to foes, but I couldn't use it on my party members ...

...you could use a hex editor to modify your save game and add it to your inventory. The code for a lava rock is 15184.

It's happened to me a couple of times. Try re-entering the last town you visited. That may put things right by resetting everything. Otherwise you'll have to start over.

My first time I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the guy either. And I didn't have a chance to get rid of the other stripper because when the door to the dance room opened the hunter saw me and started chasing me. So I led her away into the Sin Bin office and I fought and killed her ...

Stand in the crossroads at the center Golgotha. The stash is in the third grave going south from the crossroads. Not much in there, really. A big gold nugget, though. If you open more than two graves (like, say, this one and the ghost girl's grave in the Den) you'll get the Grave Robber ...

Thanks, and another question: How did you kill the Master ?
I just destroyed the Cathedral with the bomb on level 4.
Well, that's one way. Or you can go down and talk with him and convince him his plan won't work. (High IN to point out that the mutants are sterile.) He'll suicide. If you ...
