Charm Spells

Once you have Algeron's/Nymph's cloak, is there any point to memorizing any other charm spells??

I think that was a Xvart villiage. A little west of the Nashel mines. A really fun battle!

Don't forget the racial enemy.

For quality entertainment, let Minsc go Berserk in the Gnoll Fortress.

Mmmm. Gnoll puree.

Mirror image lasts longer(depends on your lvl) but they can still see you or Invisablity they can't see you at all but you get uncovered after one hit</STRONG>

I think that invisibility is the most useful ...

Nauseated? Big deal.

What affect does the status 'nauseated' have on your characters?

I saved the guy, but for some reason I was never rewarded with the sword. No matter. There's another such sword in the expansion, and it's really not worth carrying around IMHO.

My main posse is:

Me - mage
Minsc
Ajantis
Brawnen
Faldorn
Coran or Imoen, depending on whose talents I need at the moment. My Coran stinks at finding and disarming traps.

I agree that BG1 has on overabudance of thieves.

I'm just starting Chapter 7. Out of curiousity, are there any other tomes in the expansion?

I think that everything that Jaheira says is sexy.

My personal favorite is when she tell Xzar, "You are rather interesting... in a what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you kind of way."

And I have to admit it, but there's something about Skie's stupidity and gullibility...

Raiding the Xvart camp, though not a big challenge, is quite fun.

Letting Minsc go beserk in the Gnoll Stronghold while the rest of the party stand back and watch is cool. Since Gnolls are his racial enemy, he can destroy armies of them single-handedly.

Facing Bassilus' full army with a low-level ...

I you like druids, stick with Faldorn. The dread wolf she summons is very good cannon fodder. Furthermore, once she hits level 7 and can shapeshift, she becomes a formidable front-line player, and a strong mule for hauling around heavy items.

Also note that druids level up FAST. I also like Faldorn ...

I've found that many disgruntled NPC's that initially refuse to rejoin your group, WILL offer to rejoin after an extended period. Something on the order of several Chapters of the game.

Currently Xzar, Viconia, Kagain, and Eldoth are all characters who formerly insulted me and walked off, but will ...

Unconventional locks

In Baldur's Gate attempting to pick some locks results in the message "unconventional lock - may be warded against simple spells."

My every effort to pick, bash, or knock these locks have failed. What's the secret?
