I killed the Chromatic Demon but after I agreed to help it and now I cannot open the portal!!! I cannot get down to lvl 3. HELP!!!

The problem is that I left Watcher's Keep to do other quests before entering lvl3 so I do not have a save game before killing the demon.


Please tell me I missed ...

Solo vs. group
I would guess (since I havn't solo'd) that soloing is the most difficult - to an extent. Defeating monsters and like is not too hard with a group but defeating monsters and not have your team mates blown to pieces is another thing.

That is what I think is the most difficult thing ...

First of all: BGII is a great game!

But I understand why certain things irritate players. For one thing - reputation. The only time the game recognizes you is in Trademeet. I don't think it is too hard to implement more of that kind of stuff into a game. A reputation of 20 is "heroic", well, does ...

If you find a bug (or several) send a note to [url="http://www.bioware.com"]Bioware[/url] so that they can make a fix for it.

I couldn't agree more.It is possible to enhance your role play experience by using your imagination.

I am not sure about MP but I had the party split playing single. If you continue playing without the other team members everything should be OK after a short while.

Yea, I noticed that the music in the fire giant mountai is very much influenced from the soundtrack to "Conan - the barbarian".[What? No! Me fantasy freak? Never!] Conan rules! One of the best movies Schwartzneger (probably missspelled) has made so far.

Take out the two greater elementals before going against Mr. Big.

Breach, some monster summoning to distract him and then hit hard. Improved haste or boots of speed. Oh, and let him come to you instead of you coming to him.

I agree that the interaction could be better. Not that it is bad but it could have been better. It might be technical reasons for it, but I think some NPCs interaction could be handled better.

Why not play a spellcaster but don't "over-rest"? I.e. don't rest untill your character is tired or you *really* need to. I haven't tried to play solo myself but it seems that most who play solo with a spellcaster rest awful lot. Those who think it's too easy might try playing a spellcaster but ...

What? You never learned to appreciate Dragonheart? Ok, not the best of stories or actors. Not the best special effects but hey, cool dragon! The best I've seen so far and with the voice of Sean Connery... great. And not to forget the comical side to it.

No, but in this context... uhm, yes. CRPG will never be as good as PnP (IMO) although I beleive it will get fairly close. I have hight expectations on NWN.

Vampire!!! If you are into RPG's then this is a must! Great storyline, classic and, well, a little predictable, but still GREAT. One of those "Maybe I should call in sick tomorrow"-games.

All good and interesting points. I agree that CRPG are not even close to PnP but I think it is possible to roleplay in BGII. Do anyone remember those books looong time ago, where every page gave the reader a choice how to advance in the story?

I had problems with the Baldurdash patch (but with getting to Yaga-Shura) and had to re-install. Worked after that.

If you use your "Final Save" game you will not have the Hell attributes. I used my final save, noticed that I had none of the attributes (Gaaah!) and went back to whopp Irenicus.
