With Mass Effect I decided to try a tank-like character first (which is highly unusual for me) so I choose a Soldier. I use a combo of Assault Rifle and Shotgun, but mainly AR, because the SG just overheats too fast

To make your henchies cast spells, talk to them, choose 'Let's discuss tactics" (or something like that) and tell them to cast enhancing spells on the entire party.

I'm curious as to whether there are several True Names the Knower of Names can give you (depending on your Alignment for example). I've only ever played Neutral Good/Lawful Good characters and both times I was named Something the Light of Cania ^^;; Just wondering, 's all.

And I have no problems with any of the enemies - if things get tough I summon a fully-grown Red Dragon and they all scamper XD

I'm playing HotU, end of chapter 2/start of Chapter 3. I have Valen and Deekin as henchies at the final battle against the Valsharess. I defeat her, however, when Mephistopheles sends me to Cania, I can only have the Reaper resurrect Valen. What gives? Am I missing something or has the little guy ...

I had problems at this point too. I played a wizard and tried it about a dozen times till i managed. I just had to change a few spells. So keep trying some new spell combinations.

Wear an item with the "Freedom" property, then you won't get tangled in the spider's net. Get a henchman who uses missile weapons or spells (Try Linu, Glinckle or Sharwyn)

Um...What about the Ring of Regeneration? I think a +4-5 regenaration wpould be worth anything.

I'd wear an item with the "Freedom" property, so you don't get tangled in the spider's web. Also wear something against poisoning.

Try a wand. I think everybody can use them.
