I'm not really up to date concerning the mod scene...but I think the Neverwinter Vault still features the biggest collection of them.

Can't give any particular recommendations I'm afraid, but try looking around on the site a bit for modules that fit your playing style and come with high rankings ...

While "mod" is often used as a shorthand for "moderation" oder "moderator" on message boards like this one, in Neverwinter Nights (1 & 2) it usually refers to a "module".
A module is, simply put, a part of the game that you play through; an adventure. String several along, and you've got yourself a ...

I agree with Bluestorm: GawainBS' advice is great and they obviously know what they're talking about - but if you're playing this game for the first time, I'd really advice not to play with dual-class characters.
Save those for a later playthrough! :)

Reasons are that it can be fairly annoying to ...

Unfortunately, there aren't any in the cmapaign. They didn't change anything in the original campaign, so any content that got introduced with the expansion packs is not to be found or is mentioned anywhere.
This means there are no dwarven waraxes, whips or tridents available in the original ...

I use mostly graphics or UI mods, so the only bugfixing mod I can really recommend would be the various versions of the "spell fixes compilations" by player1 (search on nwvault).

"Kaedrin's pack" is hugely popular, but it's mostly about additions to the game, i.e. new classes. Since I have never ...

What GawainBS said!
Icewind Dale only needs one large and one small portrait.
The large ones should measure about 110x170 px, the small ones 36x58.

I think it works even if they're a bit bigger or smaller than that, but the aspect ratio needs to be the same in order for those portraits to fit.

Tricky is right, at level 20, monks gain the "perfect self" feature, which means their creature type changes to "outsider.
To quote the relevant D&D rules:
At 20th level, a monk becomes a magical creature. She is forevermore ...

How about a cookiecutter melee build?
Bard 1 / Fighter 14 / Red Dragon Disciple 10 / Frenzied Berserker 5.
No buffing, fights well and uses weapons and armor. With the able learner feat you can also make good use of the bard's diplomatic skills. Pick human for the extra skill points, if you think ...

Soryr for the late reply; forgot about this thread.
Anyway, without anything more specific to go on, advice is pretty hard to give.
I mean, beyond the obvious ones like "higher spell levels feature more powerful spells".

Some thoughts:
Personally, I like the cleric's " symbol of pain ...

I'm going to basically quote myself here:

I finished the OC & MotB with a meele ranger build. It was also a jack-of-trades, being able to talk (diplomacy) and disarm traps and locks.
Never ran into any problems with it. Of course, it''s not "perfect" in the eyes of some builder, but hey, I liked ...

For the DD6F2Clx build should I specialize in Wisdom or strength?

Depends what you want to be good at. ;)
As GawainBS wrote, focusing on strength would turn you into a melee machine with divine backup via buffing spells (as well as the odd no-save-allowed-spells, like Harm ).
Focusing on wisdom ...

He, I can totally see where you're coming from. :)

A mix Dwarven Defender and Cleric seems to be quite popular.
Rogue levels are not even a necessity (and would net your dwarf an experience penalty). Personally, I just like them for the evasion, sneak attack, skill points & skills, but they're ...

It's like NWN2 in that regard. Addiotionally, many folks like to take 26 (or more) levels in the cleric class, since that means, their buffs can't be dispelled by other casters. Though in HotU this is probably not that important.

I think you can't do much wrong with just taking cleric levels. It's ...

As to your first question, you can backstab with any melee weapon that a single-class thief can use.
That means all of the following: Club, Dagger, Long Sword, Short Sword and the humble Staff (the only two-handed backstabbing weapon).

As for your other question, that depends on what you mean by ...

The maximum level will also depend on the difficutly setting, since you get more experience points for victories and quests if you play on an easier or harder setting.

A list of class quests?

Icewind Dale II contains some quests, dialogue and probably more that are restricted to certain classes. For example, only paladins can do the "graveyard" quest in Kuldahar, as far as I know.

However, I've never been able to find a complete list of all available quests in the game.

So, let's ...

While it's been some time since I played IWD2 and never completed a HoF playthrough, I remember that spellcasters are the key, especially in HoF mode.
