Well, a Mage/Thief or an Assassin/Mage, but the main point of this build is to take advantage of not only the damage bonuses gain from the enhancing spells, such as Tensor's Transformation, but to utilize the Shapechange spell, which would allow you to transform into an Iron Golem with 4d10 + 10 ...

3. The half-orc Barbarian does NOT have the highest physical damage in the game. That would be a mage/thief. Also, damage is only dependent on race at the very start of the game, before girdles become available. As such, most characters imported from BG1 should match the half-orc in strength. Also ...

Yes, as far as I can recall you have to beat the large Drow group right before Ust'Natha to access the Silver Dragon's cave. Once you beat them and cross the bridge, the path opens up in two directions: East, to the Drow city, and north to the Cave you're looking for. It's unavailable from the Gnome ...

I dunno, Aerie becomes pretty powerful. I hate her personality almost as much as Nalia's, but she becomes a ridiculously strong spell-slinging witch once ToB rolls around.

The most fun I've had beating the game was the last time I played the game. I somehow pulled the strings just right to make the relationships with and between party members more rewarding than I had ever done before.

PC: Ranger/Cleric
Jaheira (romance)
Minsc (bromance)
Imoen
Jan
Keldorn

In my ...

I can understand not liking her, for the reasons you gave, one more 'For the needy' and I think I'd kill her, but useless? By the time you reach Imoen it;s Imoen that's the weaker mage of the two! Jan is a great character, but again for raw power Nalia is superior. Dislike her fine, but we're ...

Nalia is the least useful character for me, and it's not close. Whiny, ignorant and weak until late-game does not make for a good combination in my books. I'd much rather have Jan or Imoen as my resident mage.

After that, I'd go with Mazzy as my second choice and Haer'Dalis as my third.

When I tried Valen once she kept crashing my game as well. It was a long time ago, but I think it had something to do with her level draining of enemies. Or perhaps the sunlight, I can't remember.

Sorry, wish I could help more. Just uninstall it is all I can say, unless you really want her.

There may be a CLUA console command that can restart the quest, but I have no idea what it would be. You may be able to fix it with Shadowkeeper as well, but again I have no knowledge of such things.

When my Paladin let an evil godparent take the child the last time, I just restarted. I'm sorry I ...

To this day the only games I have ever played that compare to BGII are Mass Effect and Oblivion. All three of these games had me completely enthralled, and I can't count how many times I have started and re-started characters in them just to experience different aspects of gameplay.

Oblivion had me ...

I understand what you are saying but I mean something different. I would like to know what people think is the best race to play with

There simply isn't a "best" race.

If you want to know what my "favourite" race is, then it's the Half-Elf. I just like the idea of a character who possesses both ...

My personal favourite weapon is The Answerer, but in my opinion there is no actual best weapon. I would say that there is a higher tier in terms of weapon strength, and it includes:

Crom Faeyr
Flail of Ages (fully upgraded)
Axe of the Unyielding +5
Ravager +6
Staff of the Ram +6

Baldur's Gate multiplayer can be easily compared with the single player mode, except that the host is the Bhaalspawn and the rest of the players control at least one party member, custom or NPC. Essentially, it's playing the game in a co-op mode.

Those programs aren't really necessary as you are ...

If you can make it to the end of Irenicus' dungeon, then you can simply sleep until you've seen all 3 dream cut-scenes. I believe that you get one of them for every 3 or 4 times you successfully rest.

Say you were say fighting a lich that was supposed to taunt you when the lich form 'dies' and then turn into a demi-lich. If everyone is protected from undead at that point, then because the lich can't affect anyone, it can't start the dialog, and therefore the lich form cannot 'die'. You then end ...

I would recommend doing ALL those quests before saving Imoen. Spellhold can be quite tough otherwise, and some quests are very nice :) .

Yeah, I would recommend the same.

Or at least do the major ones. These would include all main quests in the non-Athkatla area, and the main quest in each of ...
