If you're playing with Neeshka you can't even have progressed to the 20+ expansions yet, let alone 30. I'm pretty sure the OC alone is capped at 20?

Yeah, social networking sites is where it's at for the youngings. But usually those aren't a good place for gamers to find help for specific problems. I think people are generally starting to get better at finding the information they need and the relevant sites and companies are getting quite good ...

Amazing. I don't think that was known yet at the time I posted that. I tried to verify my story, but nobody really seemed to know for sure.

Thank for the update there! :)

Having a bad couple of financial months, what with moving to a new house, fixing that up, student loans, morgage.. sigh. I likely won't be able to get that new machine this year after all. At least the waiting for new tech part won't be a problem at this rate. ;)

My main interest in technology ...

Couple of other mods I've been using that I like:

Even with that guide, I'd be really careful. I'm pretty sure I tried to use the exact same text before, to no avail.

I have this thread bookmarked now, since I'm probably going to need it at some point when I get Skyrim.

I tried Vilja on Oblivion after I moved to Norway, but I can't really stand it. She sounds too Swedish-English to me now, which is a bit of an immersion breaker. :p

Nice to see you again btw ...

I recall trying to trigger her confessions to my female PC, but I never managed to do it. Not a single guide seemed to be correct on this, so I just assumed the relating scripts were a bit broken.

I believe all monks in 3.5 eventually become lawful plane outsiders, depending on their alignment. NWN2 and 1 only mimicked that by giving them a few more immunities around level 20, but they never changed your race. That's not right though and I think the NWN1PRC corrected that. I really should ...

Just remembered the name of that other game, it's Rise of the Robots (title like that wouldn't fly nowadays :D ). It doesn't appear to be GOG though, but it seems to appear on abandonware sites.

Well if it's a kid you're babysitting, I don't think you can go wrong with Wacky Wheels. I'm pretty ...

I think Whacky Wheels had split screen. Maybe it's on GOG, for easy obtaining. Another option would be old fighter games, like Mortal Kombat and Streetfighter, that simply don't require split screen. I recall a PC game like that with robots and such. No blood. Can't remember the title.

I'm pretty sure Wanders Edition doesn't work in Program Files. As for other mods.. it depends I guess. If they're small, it probably doesn't matter.

Thanks. Do you also have an idea for a non-Monk? I love weapons and armour. But a Monk build was in the running anyway. No conversation skills is a turnoff as well.

A dwarven defender / dualist? Sorry, I can't give you the Scottg style answer. ;)

The best tank is probably my paladin/monk ...

The Baldur's Gate Series on Linux (as of 2013)

It has been maybe six years since I last installed the Baldur's Gate series on a Linux platform. It used to be quite simple, but the technology behind a couple of things has grown a bit more complex. The installation-ride is a little different now, so I thought it might help others if I wrote down ...

'Tis time for another update! :)

Yaaay! :D

Presumably the 32 bit is getting up to 2 gig of system memory, and the "64 bit" version is getting up to 4 gig of system memory.

For a 64 bit system, IF you factor-in system process programs and low-level programs (like anti-virus) in the ...
