Wisdom adds to save vs spells for certain spells only
( i think itz ones that affect the mind, not sure )
AFAIK, BG2 does not implement this

Care to elaborate on the bug?? I am interested in finding out what exactly that makes it so powerful ( never touched that item at all )
Actually, there are no worse weapons per se ( not counting "mundane" ones )
Some weapons offer benefits which may seem illogical/irrelevant to one, but essential ...

Have u guyz tried a monk???? At lower levels he might suck, but once he reaches lvl 14, he's practically an engineer of destruction
Put in the girdle of frost giant strength + gauntlets of crushing, u got a kungfu style fighter
I once hit 74 on a crit. hit ( somewhere around that number, can't ...

U can't dual to a monk or barbarian if I am not mistaken
To enable to dual to fighter, u must have at least 17STR and 15INT
A swashbuckler is a thief class, so u will need 17DEX and 15INT
BTW, why dual to a fighter???
most ppl do it the other way around...I am interested in hearing your strategy ...

if ur talking about romantic relationships, they appear at random ( or after a certain, undetermined internal game timer )
Other NPCs with quest related features start interacting with u and their quest after certain amount of days
So itz not totally random

- Topic: Resistance - how does it work?

It's just the logical reverse of less than 100% elemental resist
50% resistance in elements = 50% less damage
100% res = 100% less damage = 0 damage
150% res = 150% less damage ( illogical, how can u reduce a damage to negative damage )
Unless the negative damage turns into positive healing ...

If it says magic resistance = 50%, then it means that 50% of the time, magics cast at u will have no effect ( u have "resisted" any effect )
If it says magic damage resistance = 50%, all magic damaging spells ( like fireball ) have their damage done to u reduced by 50%
So MR affects whether u get ...

Inquisitor!!
True seeing and dispel magic at high levels works wonders, ( and the name sounds cool )
of course, with the prevalence of vamps in the game, an undead hunter is also quite a realistic choice

I would say dump Valygar for Keldorn, with the HA he rocks!
Give him the Gauntlets of Dex, and he's quite a good tank up front ( besides, Valygar can wear heavy armor as he's a stalker )

In BG2, rest until healed does not take that long ( mebbe a day at most ), in IWD, I also had 12 days for my party to rest until healed.
So BG2's option is more logical
