Sorry I haven't checked this thread in a while. Thanks for your input guys, but I am still waiting for a reply to this question of mine:

What bonuses would maxing out the Charisma of your character for Charisma-required classes, such as Rangers and Paladins???

Well, I don't think he needs another "tank". I mean, he's got three good fighters already: Korgan (need I say more??), his Paladin and Anomen (who IMO is a GOOD fighter!).

And yes, I think you could recreate your F/T to become a T/C or a F/T/C (for the HP). But then again, it's totally up to you ...

Thanks for the tips guys.

On to the second part of my question. What bonuses would maxing out the Charisma of your character for Charisma-required classes, such as Rangers and Paladins??? :(

About buying good cheaper. Can't you use some NPC (Keldorn?) to buy the stuff for you? Wouldn't that be ...

CHARISMA- Useful???

Hey all. Okay, I'll keep this short. I just wanna know why this particular characteristic is useful/good when creating a new character.

I mean, it has no use for most classes (Mages, Fighters, etc), so for these classes, we should keep it at the minimum. Right?

Secondly, for Paladins and Rangers ...

Hey. Well, your character creations seem to look fine IMO (then again, who am I to judge, right?). But I think you could have spent your creation points in better skills (like, dont bother raising the CHARISMA for certain characters above the minimum amount (eg. 8 or whatever).

I think you should ...

pooburglar: basically a thief gets this skill in ToB (or in the later stages of SoA, if I am not mistaken if ToB is installed) as a Skill. More can be found in the ToB section of GameBanshee

LocalLunatic: I think you've got enough options here in order to kill the Shade Lord.

My opinion? Use area spells.. like Sunray. But if that spell is too advanced for you, simple ones like Fireball are alright. Basically it's all hack and slash.

It's not that we dont like Nalia, per se. It's just that she is kinda inefficient. I mean, she's a dual-class thief/mage who has only a level 4 Thief skills! And her mage level ain't that high either.

Take Edwin, and you'll see the difference!

To the original author: Ditch Minsc. Since you are already a Ranger, you dont need another. Although Minsc does provide the comic relief, you've got Keldorn as a heavy fighter. And your ranger (what kit?) is a good melee fighter too.

You might also want to get rid of Nalia for Jan, who is a much ...

It's been a while since I played a Shapeshifter, so my facts could be slightly off.

But in SoA, a Shapeshifter is alright, as the GWW form is capable of dealing out enough damage. Plus the bug that you can wear certain dragon armour scales helped as well.

In ToB, eventually I had to shapeshift ...

Curdis: I don't want to be flaming anyone here, but the reason why I said Jaheira was weak was because I had my reasons. I mean, face it, would you rather have Sarevok or Korgan in your party.... or Jaheira? I mean, I'd take Anomen on with me (and his whining) rather than Jaheira.

It just seems ...

Hey, dont worry about it. Just lower your rep somehow (kill a peasant or something, in a REMOTE plan!!! If you do it in Amn, then I think all the guards will be after you! Not pleasant!).

Then go back to the Slums and get Korgan back by paying him $500.

Well, it depends on how thorough you played the game. If you do all the quests and killed everyone, I dont think it's impossible not to reach the XP cap. However, all the times I've played, usually only 3 out of 6 of my part members reaches their caps (although the other three, are not far off ...

Damyr, regarding your last question on whether you can survive without a Cleric.. YES.. that is possible. Hence the success of many ppl solo-ing the game (not as a Cleric)! :)

If you get injured.. just go to a temple (if it's REALLY that serious), or just rest.

Well, I've always been a big fan of druids.. and while waiting for ToB (early last year), I was hoping for the developers to keep their promise- to make Druids more powerful (coz we ALL know how weak they were in SoA).

Admit it guys, Cernd and Jaheira are weak (in a power gamer's point of view ...

Nice stuff there, guys.

For me.. the party would comprise mainly of:

Frodo
Aragorn
Gimli
Legolas
Boromir (for Fellowship, only)
Gandalf

I know that Gandalf is too powerful, so he gotta be tweaked down. I don't think having three hobbits (Frodo, Merry and Pippin and/or Sam) is fun in a party. I ...

I think a more ideal team would be:

Jan (Thief)
Viconia (Cleric, and in ToB a pretty decent fighter)
Edwin (Mage)

That leaves ur main character to be anyone you want.

The thing is, a party need not necessary have to have a fighter, although it helps in Melee situations. But I'm sure Edwin and ...
