Yes, there are just 2 quests, but I found them to be very convoluted (especially the elven one...all those tree paths look the same!), so yeah, it can get boring. But, the baddies seem hard to beat, which makes it not so ho-hum. Still, I've started a character, and there's something about completing ...

I don't think you can repair items that are totally broken.

As for the dread armor, I've only managed to sell them to junk dealers. Unless, your character has lots of points in Haggle - it may help sell the armors to regular merchants, but it's just a guess.

Yeah, well... after reloading, I went back to Caladon via the world map, and he was in his basement. Unfortunately, he dropped from level 50 to 25, and he lost all his gear (nothing really important, though). :(

Are you patched? I think the latest patch fixes the problem of Virgil losing stats ...

Vormantown

Has anyone successfully completed the Vormantown module? If so, advice? Worth completing at all? I seem to run into problems with the big bads right before finishing a quest. Of course, the paths getting there are convoluted to begin with.

However, Dante didn't make the list, so there's probably nothing you can buy to make him happy ...

Hopefully you've found an answer already, but if not - make sure you're in combat mode when trying to throw your boomerang, and press the ALT key to "attack" it. Otherwise nothing would happen.

#4: It's not you; the secret entrance to the Pit in Dernholm is a pain in the a** to find. I've spent quite some time looking for it, too! The "B" on the map isn't exactly where it is but only points to the general direction that it's in. If you don't hit on it exactly, don't just keep going; I ...

Are you patched? The only thing I can think of is maybe a bug. The monsters down there, IIRC, are pretty low-key and don't have freezing spells (except maybe the winter wolves?).

Have you also tried issuing a command, for him to follow you closely?

IIRC if you forced Stillwater before you're supposed to be there, Myrth won't be there, and as mentioned, Raven won't be at Quintarra, either.

Another way of getting to Quintarra without talking to Myrth is through the herbalist at Shrouded Hills. Ttry getting the medallion that she wants and she ...

I completely forgot about the portals in Tulla. Will do so to minimize goof ups or accidental usage or bugs. Thanks.

Hm. Tarant is a great place to level up because of the numerous quests available. I suggest doing most of them before talking to Magnus for the Schuylers quest, if Magnus is somehow unwilling to join you because of your inexperience.

If you can't beat NPCs in physical fights, try talking your way ...

Yay, another Arcanum fan!

My vote is for Arcanum. The variety of dialogue and quest options depending on your char/stats in Arcanum makes no two games the same and IMHO is the best part about the game.

Which places have you visited before heading to Tarant from Shrouded Hills? Have you been doing all the quests? (More importantly, have you been given all the quests?) I'm usually way past lvl. 10 by the time I get to Tarant, but then again I don't miss any quests - that's the best way to pick up ...

IIRC, Clarissa Shalmo is supposed to mark the location on your map when you get the quest from her to retrieve the Azram Star. Otherwise I don't think you can force the location just by going there. It is somewhere in the Glimmering Forest before you get to Quintarra.

Bug with the werewolf cure?

I'm playing my second character, and twice now the werewolf cure for Cynthia that I bought in Tulla has disappeared from my inventory by the time I get to the Vendigroth Wastes. Is this a bug or is something in my inventory cancelling out the cure?
