You should just be like me, and keep rolling until you get stats that total up to 95 or above. My current character (human cleric, and omg about to finish game!) had the following stats:

STR: 18
DEX: 17
CON: 17
INT: 13
WIS: 18

For one thing, it's not that expensive -- you can get the game and the expansion set packaged on 3 discs (instead of I think 7) for $15or less (I don't know what the price would be where you live, since I glean from your original post that you don't live in the US), but I'd imagine ...
