If bugs are the only major issue, I am fine as I usually buy games after a couple of patches (or until I think there is no more - depends on the game developers... i mean sometimes they give 1 patch and you never see another official one). I am willing to give AP a chance on my own later on. Plus ...

Equipment definitely does not transcend the shape shifted forms. And for each form, it seems there are different sets of physical stats. So shapeshifting disregards anything from the humanoid form.
All in all, shapeshifting is regarded as one of the weaker specializations but I rather like it. It ...

Shapeshifts (possible spoilers?)
I am wondering something about shapeshifts. Does it account with the stats and/or the items you are wearing or the stats and armor/attack values are pretty much static with only the effect of "spellpower" helping them out?

Interestingly I immediately wanted to do arcane warrior since it reminded me of the "tenser mage" back in D&D. I was also interested in the "blood magic" of blood mages (VBtM anyone?)
But geeze, didnt realize that sucker could be one of the most abusive setup of the mage by default (abusive as in ...

how do these work?
magical signs have skills called burning blade, etc. where it said it works with a special attack from silver blades... yet ive never seen any effects from those. Must you already set the person on fire (torch, spell) before the effects work or does your blade have a chance of doing that for you ...

the obvious dark-side responses sometimes annoy the crap out of me...
"wah wah wah, i didnt get what i want so lets demand it again like a 3 year old with the kill action word in there somewhere" type reponses is what I refer to. I tend to go dark side by persuasive acts and definately get some DS ...

skill bonus from 0
do you need 1 point invested in a skill for the bonus to count?
im not sure if its like that since the total counts the bonus regardless of if you had a point there or not.
ex.
computers @ 0
+4 from gloves
= counts as 0 since there is no points in that job
or
= counts as 4
i didnt get a chance ...

What exactly changes in Difficulty settings?
other than the vague description in the tooltip of "combat damage?" and something along with the searches that only come up with comments like "its too easy even on hard", does anyone know in more detail of what changes in KotOR with other difficulty settings?
Is it just damage x2 and health x2 or ...

range of traps?
I am not sure how far traps can set off at...
i use to think the target has to run over it... but sometimes, an enemy pretty far from the trap gets killed by it...
how do i know where the enemy must go to set off the trap?
and also, all my traps seem to go off on the same person if set before ...
