How do you choose special talents?

I have enough experience points to get something like Offensive Combat I, but how do I select it and lock it in? When I click on it it just highlights in green and shows me what weapons it works with, but I can't find a way to actually *choose* it.

Thanks.

No.

It's been a while since I played, but I think it's the case that the skill points you receive from quests only apply to your main character, so it doesn't matter which companions you have with you when you earn them.

SWC

Maybe the bonus points for completing all the quests are different ...

bonus points for completing all quests, who gets them?

Ok, hopefully this question makes some sense. Let's say that my party consists of Deru, Taar, and Lothar. But the only secondary quests I have left are specific to other NPCs. I've heard that when you complete all the secondary quests, you get something like 9 bonus skill points.

So my question is ...

In DSII original, Max = 20lvl. + item bones = max 20lvl.
In DSII Broken World, Max = 20lvl. + item bones = max 30lvl.

Thanks, so I guess no way to get around this problem, except to remove the items, add the point, put the item back on and waste that bonus (as long as the item is still good in ...

do items raise skills above 20?

My situation is this: I have Searing Flames at 20 thanks to a few items that add extra skill points. But now I can't put any more points into SF to raise it anymore. Yet at the same time there are powers that require more points in it, since item-granted points don't count toward powers.

So my ...

The last teleporter is just before the Archemage, that's true - however you can always use the summon teleporter spell (except when you're approaching the Valdis arena at the end); you can return from town to this spot until you save the game when the summoned teleporter shuts down.

that's true ...

Just got the game. I've been saving as I go along but can't find any way to load a saved game. Am I just dim or what?

I'm guessin' here. Is the game kinda like Diablo II? i.e. waypoint to waypoint???

Thanks

There are teleporters that let you travel around easily, but they don't have anything to ...

You can complete all the other quests after "finishing" the game if you like. On the other hand, completing them first will give you a chance to increase your skills and powers, collect some useful equipment and alternate your team members (some tasks need specific characters for them to work ...

chance to finish secondary quests after the end of the game?

Hi all. I just reached Zaramoth's Horns and I noticed that it's been a while since I've seen a teleporter. This leads me to think that maybe the end of the game is meant to be played straight through, which also makes me wonder (somewhat unrelatedly) if I will have a chance to finish up other quests ...

Thanks! I did check my journal but I didn't see it. Maybe I didn't go that far in the back of the journal. (I also noticed that there is no indication that anything new has been added.)

But good to know ...

mysterious teleporter activation stone?

Hi all. Quick question about this thing. I just "killed" the little guy who runs around, and he dropped this, but when I picked it up there was a strange noise but it's not in my inventory. Is this normal?

Thanks.

advice for character-specific secondary quests

Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if there is any "proper" way to go about doing secondary quests that involve characters that you don't normally use. In my case, I use Lothar, Deru and Taar. Does it hurt you in any way to leave them at the inn and do someone else's quest? Do they fall behind in ...

Thanks very much! For now I've decided to go with 1 pt. in Penetrate so I could get the next level of Take Aim, and 4 pts. in Shockwave so I can get Charged Shot. Penetrate seems fairly useless beyond the 1 pt. for the power, because of the requirement that enemies be in a line. Shockwave seems ...

shockwave and penetrate?

Is there some place where I can get a little more info on these two skills? What exactly is the "shockwave"? Does it do AOE damage?

And for penetrate, does this mean it can hit multiple targets? And if so, does the % chance of penetration apply to each target it hits, so that it can keep going and ...

No, the spell was definitely selected. And somehow I have a level in melee now, so it's not just that he was waving the staff.

Good point, but I'm pretty sure I had full mana, because the battle had just started and I happened to look at him and there he was swinging away! :)

forcing a mage to use magic?

Hi all. I just realized that when I'm controlling a character other than my main character (combat mage), the CM sometimes uses the staff he is holding rather than his magic (even though the spell is selected, not the staff). Is there a way to force them to use only magic? Do I have to remove the ...

where do you restore an old save game file?

Hi everyone. I just reinstalled F:TLC on my PC and I'd like to resume from an old save game file, but it doesn't seem to be detecting my profile or my saved game. My directory structure looks like this:

Fable - The Lost Chapter\data\Saves\John\<save game files>

Is this not the correct place to put ...
