Possible spoilers (depending on how clever you really are), but I tried to be vague.

Two major issues here:

1.) I've completed a number quest requirements, then returned as directed to the person in question and it won't give me credit for completion. One example is the "Khelgar's Vision Quest ...

After playing twice through the game, I've had Elanee declare her love for my character both times. 2nd time through I used the cheat codes to have everyones influence at 100, and it was still only Elanee. This occurred after the bridges are retaken by you.

I would have tried playing the game unpatched. Standard, out of the box.

I never patched my game, and encountered no game stopping bugs or crashes. I did occasionally crash to desktop when changing areas, but it never happened to me more than once in the same area.

It's been a while since I've been there, but reading them book should make some monsters pop and attack you. Killing them allows you to continue on into the next room. I believe there is a statue or something in the beginning that you can examine an inscription.

That is strange. When I did that, the dragon didn't appear anyway. But, the turning into a red dude, that's awesome. I mean, it's not cool that it happened, but, I think it is very humorous.

Go to the song portal at Ruins of Arvhan. Then, head to West Harbor via the swamp if you have done this before. If not, just follow the story. Eventually, you'll have to go to the "scar" on teh ground in WH. You will reforge the sword here.

Issue the command for them to follow you. Hold the right mouse button, and then select broadcast command, and then follow me. Feels like I've said this before....

If you've already cleared the map, I dont see the big deal. Just finish up your objective in the map, and head out. I still have the ...

That is odd. You read he true name way back at crossroads keep, so, the only thing you have to do is kill him. Never had issues with it. Suppose you could be bugged. I never checked to see if BG heals himself or not.

I dont remember the spell name, but use the one that seems to describe the situation from the book. Something like imprison, or...hell I dont remember. Just use the spell that seems like it would paralyze or otherwise give something a brain fart.

Number 1: Already answered. Need 1 of a couple differen't people in your party. Also, yes, you DO need a plot item from a pair of nearbye "gnomes".

No, it will not. You can push the dialog to make him come with you, but if you succeed in that, someone ( Neeshka in my case ) will point out that they do not trust him. He will then attack you. The actual game storyline, no. You'll still achieve the same thing. Whether or no you actually become "Knight-Captain", I do not know. I dont see how they could do it any other way.

The quests you have to do are slightly differen't, but you still end up doing pretty much the same thing, sometimes ...

If you kill Slaan, he wont be present for the recruitment stage later in the game. He doesn't play a very important role anyway, so, I'd imagine, killing him will make no difference.

When you are out looking for allies, once you go to Highcliff on the map, you will get something on they way. Lizzies attacking some humans. It is in this area that the ore vein is in.
