"Enter Detect Illusions mode" means a simple click on the "Detect Traps" button.

It applies instantly, or within a round, i'm not sure...

Detect Illusions is nice, but not overwhelming.
It has one advantage over True Sight/Seeing, however - it's Spell School: School-Less , so it'll ignore Spell Immunity : Divination.
Can be useful against some cheesy enemies - Weimer's creations and Ascension baddies (and probably some enemies in RtW ...

I doubt it.

You must be confusing it with an other sword.

The Namarra is +2 enchanted, and Kangaxx can only be hit with +4 weapons.

Someone else hit Kangaxx with it?
