yes, you are able to pick a kit, but afaik, only the kits that are listed as kit (so you can go from fighter to a wizard slayer, but not to barbarian).

There are three different 'Haste type' settings, 0 for normal Haste, 1 for Improved Haste and 2 for Haste without additional attacks. The setting in Boots01.itm is type 2.

As for ToB/SoA, like many people I've only ever played with both installed, I got the two bundled together with the extra ...

Looks to me it could work, but I'm not that experienced with solo runs. I do remember reading a stratagy guide about runnning a solo beserker. iirc it was on this site in the strategy section.

Edit: yes it was, although it was about SOA only. It can be found here

Well that depends on how well you can tank with Jaheira/Aerie (that is a matter of personal taste). If you can tank with either of them I wouldn't include him, if you don't have the patience for it then I would.

I'm very sure if I'm going to use a Sorcerer, I'm not going to pick "Find Familiar" as a Level 1 spell. That's such a big waste of a valuable spell slot, especially in BG1.

Yeah, but then it'll be a real pain to lose the spell slot in the first game.

As I wrote in the original message: I'm not ...

Iirc you can get 2 in SoA and a total of 5 (remember this, because it isn't enough for a full party)

SoA boots of speed
- Spellhold
- Planer prison

ToB boots of Speed
- First of the 5 (forgot her name)
- Sold in Saradush inn
- Sold by the Saradush magic man (forgot his name too)

afaik there is no way to defeat the gaurdian without the death mask. I'm not exactly sure how much there are (I think there are something like 6) the mask will construct itself automaticly when you have all the pieces.

A good way to see if you can go through a door is let your thief find traps (if ...

I ran a cleric through BG1 about a year ago with a 13 charisma. Didn't notice anybody being any more unfriendly or less rewarding than when I ran a mage with a 17 charisma, a few years back. Could you please list specific instances, and the differences you found? This might be quite interesting ...

Yes easy tutu also caps at 161k XP. Though it looks to me that if you export/import your char to SoA he gets the full gained XP. You won't have any problems exporting/importing your character, in fact it works smoother with easytutu then with regular BG1. This is because you don't have to adjust ...

Well first off you say you can stand the bickering of different allignment characters, but the question would be, can your characters? For example, Keldorn (the paladin in the sewer) will put an ultimatum on Viconia, if she stays in the group they will fight ...

As far as I know there is no other way to open your chest.
If you want to cheat the weapon in you want the SoA cheats for tutu if I recall correctly. There is a sticky thread in the SoA forum. Should you still need to use BG1 cheats there is a sticky thread for that in this forum.

As shown below I had some trouble with them. I can say for sure the cleric spell freedom of action works, but only if you cast it prior to getting hit with emotion hopelessness. :)

Iirc 1 of the spells Mareliths like to cast is protection from magical weapons
try a breach on them. That should take their defence down (iirc they are naturally immune to normal weapons). Check Elminster's book ingame I think they have a description in them.
