Why is it a good idea to stick with the fighter until level 6? The NO gets up to 10 hit points per level regardless of class, and there's only so much experience that can be acquired in the game. If you hold off switching to a mage until you're already level 6 as a fighter, those fighter levels are ...

Meh...

I think of Invisible War as being a "good" game, though not a great one. Ion Storm was spoiled by the success of the first game, and they were too afraid to take any risks with the sequel. It followed a very specific forumla for success--and appealed to far too broad an audience--such that ...

Props to Alan Rickman!

Hey, guys! :p Seems like I only end up posting to this board once every couple of months anymore, but I'm still around - lurking... haven't (re)played the BG's in ages, but I still can't pull myself away from the Banshee. The community is just too awesome.

At any rate, it occured to me that in all ...

Well if you compare what you felt about Deus Ex compared to DX:IW, DX would win since it had new concepts, ran great, wasn't a damn console port, and so on.

But if you compare DX:IW and DX now, DX:IW would win (better graphics, some more options, better engine, etc.)
Totally disagree. DX was, and ...

Very same thing happened to me, and right after I finished whupping Bendak. I tried waiting about half an hour, and the effect never wore off. I think it's just a bug. Had to reload.

Trouble on the Leviathan

I decided to have Mission bail me out this time around (used Juhani first game), but I'm a little stumped. I grabbed the Stealth Field Generator from the contraband container near where Mission escapes, but I can't get into stealth mode. The button just isn't there. This is obviously a problem ...

I suppose in the context of this game and the Star Wars universe in general, I'm pretty damned evil. :p I've only completed the game once thus far as a decidedly goody-two-shoes Jedi, but it was a deliberate and sometimes tricky act. There were several points in the game where, had it been me, I ...

Not being able to damage powerful magical creatures is a big drawback to playing an archer, unfortunately. My very first character in SoA was an archer, and I found my only saving grace was the Gesen Bow. It hits as a +4 weapon, which means you can take down most of tough bad guys (but not all). The ...

I can agree that skills are pretty unnecessary for the most part, but it's still kind of annoying to have to transit back to the Hawk and pick up Mission every time you want to do something. Many areas also don't allow you to transit, so you'd have to either bring Mission along with you from the get ...

I think the point that people are missing (or perhaps the comments were deleted ) is that KotOR is a console game, with a PC version.
I (briefly) considered pointing this out as well, but I tend to get flamed to Hell and back for even hinting that the console might be a slightly less mature ...

Huh. I'll grant you that I was slightly higher level when I fought him, but I never had all that much trouble with Draconis. My sorcerer was probably level 23 or 24 at the time, and he mopped the floor with Draco pretty much all by himself.

Once he changed into his dragon form, it was just a matter ...

While I definitely enjoyed playing through KotOR, I think I'd have to agree with most of the observations made here. And sadly, I'm seeing it more and more in games. Deus Ex: Invisible War was disappointing to me in much the same way.

And frankly, I think it's something that gamers are just going ...

The trick is to save your level-ups. When you gain levels, the game doesn't assign those levels to your current class until you actually click the "Level Up" button. Therefore, it's possible to save several level-ups from Taris until you attain Jedihood, and then assign them all at once.

Two Questions

1) What measures will the v1.10 patch be taking to lay the smack down on little bully cheaters with their Iths, dupes, and cruel/of quickness hacked items? I did hear that Blizzard banned a lot of players found to be cheating, but I've still seen a few SS barbs with perfect ethereal CBBoQ's running ...

Shadow Keeper help

Quick question.

I'd like to give Keldorn Protection from Evil 10' Radius as a special ability that he can use a few times per day instead of his usual one-shot Prot. from Evil. So I added the spell as an innate ability. But when I try to increase his max memorized past anything but 0, Shadow Keeper ...
