How does RDD class "work" in the game?
I'm not quite sure what to make of the Red Dragon Disciple prestige class in NWN:HotU. I'm thinking of taking 5 levels of *something* and then adding 20+ levels of RDD to play through the SoU & HotU story arc (ending at the 25-28 level range), but I can't quite make out how this class should be ...

How does each class level up? (Why are some faster than others?)
It's been years since I played DS1, but I just finished DS2 and while I'm waiting for Broken World to come in the mail I figured I'd dust this game off and give it another try.
So, in DS2, so long as you have a spell or weapon selected of the correct type, you'll gain the same experience in battle ...

Attack Speeds (Slower, Normal, Fast, etc.)
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the various Attack Speeds? I'm trying to calculate DPS to decide which weapons are better than others in the early part of the game.

Quest Rewards in Veteran/Elite same as Merc?
I just started Veteran difficulty for the first time and one thing in particular caught my attention right off the bat. When I completed a side-quest ("The Armorer's Apprentice"), I got the same exact reward as I did in Mercenary difficulty! Level 1 armor won't be much use to my Level 43 party. I ...

I just finished Merc. with 4x Melee (3x Two-Handers with max Whirling Strike and 1x Dual Wielder with max Elemental Rage...just so I had some magic damage if I came across physical immunities; I'll probably add another DW for Veteran to add more magic damage and to spread out the aggro a bit)...and ...

Thanks so much for the reply KillerGremal! Yeah, I realized that what I was hoping for was either very easy or overly tedious to the point of impossibility depending on how the loot system worked and how items were defined and tagged by the game. Thanks for the good info and your work in this area ...

Any Item Drop per Class or Level Mods?
I thought I read somewhere that someone had put together a DS2 mod that made sure item drops (even uniques & sets) were close to your or your party's average character level...but I'm not sure what it was called or where to find it.
Also, is there a similar mod that would only drop items for the ...

Installing/Running on Windows XP
So, reading is obviously not my strong suit since I ordered the Fallout Bundle (1 & 2, but not Tactics) which was only meant for Windows 95/98 or DOS...not Windows XP. So, of course, when I go to install the game I just get a message asking me if I want to installed DirectX 3a and then a black ...

Best (Party-Defining) Buffs
A few times now I've leveled up a mage or matured a pet to find a new buff available from a power, spell, or aura. I find myself saying, "Hey, that would be pretty cool...*if* my party had this-or-that." For instance, a buff for both +Lightning & +Ice makes me wish I'd not specialized my mages in ...

2 Annoyances re: NPC dialog & using Powers etc.
Two things keep cropping up that really keep me from enjoying this fine game as much as I could.
1. The game does not pause during unsolicited NPC dialogue. So many times a quest-related NPC or one of my party members decides to chit-chat with me right as I'm about to get pounced on by a bunch of ...

Default skills & skill points for henchmen in every difficulty level
I've seen listings similar to this:
Amren:
Starting Levels:
Mercenary 20 (Ranged 20)
Veteran 48 (Ranged 48)
Elite 71 (Ranged 71)
But I've noticed that even when you pick up an early henchman like Lothar, he has a few default skills already selected, as well as a pre-determined amount of skill ...

Will dropped items (gold etc.) stay put?
(Re: Diablo 1) Having my backpack half full of gold is not helpful. Is there a place I can stow my loot? Can I just drop it on the ground in town and expect it to be there when I come back? Or is it possible to leave it somewhere handy in the dungeon to come back for later? Or...will it all despawn ...
