So I have to admit, I'm wearing +2 strength: gauntlets, shoes, helmet, shield which allows me to wear +3 armor.

I wield a 215-300 ax.

Think I'm approx lvl 50ish. But it won't let me start past crystwind. If I use the thingamagig, it says I'm not powerful enough to zoom ahead.

But the pain of ...

Anyone ever found these?

If you stayed and fought Gresh? I didn't know you could run. That was definitely the hardest battle for me.

I think the main point with a wild mage is that he/she can cash ANY spell with Reckless Dweomer.

So with my wild mage, memorize your standard spells (get as many as a specialized mage) and then you have this bonus. And it's quite a nice one.

Even at lvl 10, you can cast lvl 9 spells with it ...

i'll try my best, but i've never played a kensai.

it's just there potential for pure destructive power. I think the kensai/mage is the popular way to use this character. throw on stoneskin/prot from magical weopons and you have 3 rounds of whirlwinds free from damage.

Was going to try this plan next, but I won't be able to get on for a week, so I just had to know...

Now to figure out how to win that battle without a mage... and without lowering the difficulty...

Is there any way to have her live till the end? She always turns into the Slayer, then I cannot ressurrect her.

I'm just wondering if I chose different conversations if she'd stay in her human form...

1. No. Think Savorak gains 1 lvl to lvl 18. The rest come in with a certain amount of experience. Think 2.5M. Not sure on that number.

Yep, I'm sure. I'm good, she's good. And then poof, she's a slayer.

I have Imoen in my party and she does turn into the slayer. I only fought this once and then had to run. But I would guess you'd kill her then ressurrect (sp?) her for the later battles.

Either way, I got my butt handed to me as she was my only mage. Probably will have to summon Edwin give him some ...

I failed to convince Sevorak to turn to good. Think it was my "With responsibility comes power" comment.

Though I really liked Jan in SoA I found him to sit more and more on the sidelines on ToB. I don't regret taking him, as I love his personality... mostly. But if done again, I'd swap in Sevorak.

Hmm, but if you're going to not use Tuigans, why not then choose the Strong Bow with its +3 damage and the unlimited +2 arrows.

Seems tansh (sp?) bow with its +3 arrows would fall short here.
