I've got exactly the same problem in the same place, and I'm running 2 Gig of RAM so I don't think that's the answer. (Min Ram Spec. is 512 Mb).

There was also an ingredient sorter called Dogfish's Alchemy Lab, it was an unfinished work in that it wasn't set in game, you have to use it in your mod. I can't find a working link atm but if anyone wants it give me a PM and I'll mail it to you.
At times when I'm feeling silly I carry a weapon I made named the "Bomb Stick" it's a ebony(?) wizard staff enchanted with -100% fire resistance for 2 seconds, absorb life 10 for 50 feet 1 second and fire damage at 50 feet fitting as much damage as possible into 1 second.

When ...

I found MW to be a fairly forgiving game, (I've been playing it for about 6 years now) with a couple of exceptions you can generally load expansions or mods at any time and just continue your existing game, although it's always a good idea to make a back-up first. Similarly you can just un-check the ...

I still don't know about the 4 corners, though. If you have Ideas, I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks
There are also a couple of mods out there that remove the level cap, but being as the most difficult npc's in the un-modded game are only lvl.48 (Dagoth Ur and Umbra) there's no point in going to ridiculously high levels.

Also if you turn them on to kill the ghosts your char doesn't get the experience points for destroying them.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game, although it was too short. I've played through with 3 different characters now, 1 good, 1 evil and one balanced, and there's not a lot to choose between the different methods, although there are certain items/styles you won't get playing an evil char. Although the game ...

Have you already opened the chest on a prior occasion? The chests don't re-spawn their contents.

I'm running an AMD Dual core processor, 2 Gig of ram with a NVidia 7900GTX 512 mb card, and it still seems to take up to 30 seconds to load there. It looks like it's locked but eventually it loads for me. Maybe give it a bit longer before hitting Ctrl/Alt/Del.

Menhirs

Just something I thought I'd share..... Menhirs .....those smooth grey standing stones that are dotted about the landscape..... a useful trick I found when I had a low level character and had got into areas where the beasts were a bit too hefty, it is possible to climb those things, so if you get ...

Actually, if you run around the north shore of the lake to the point where the mountains come down to the water, it is possible to run at a slight angle around the base of the mountain to the northern valley (containing the Alter of Stars), and it is then only a short swim south to the island. Then ...

I don't think you can re-texture the armour, this game is no-where near as moddable as many others, looking at the main parts of the armour, i.e. for torso and legs...it looks to me like all the different sets are really recoloured body skins, and not a separate item which is worn over the the body ...
