Tired of trying to get anywhere in NWN2 without coming to a screeching halt on an infinite "Unpacking module..." message, but it has inspired nostalgic thoughts of BG and what I'd love to see in a new CRPG.

More psuedo-non-linearity - not like Morrowwind's "Go anywhere! I don't care!", but more ...

I don't know, I think a lot of this "we're alienating the entire world!" stuff is a bit exaggerated. Yeah, I don't agree with some of our government's policies, or at least the ham-fisted method of carrying them out, but I hardly think the rest of the world is going to band together for the express ...

PS:T chars would be cool, though the one I'd most like to see would be Fall-from-Grace.

Can you imagine Keldorn's reaction when you pick up with a succubus? :D

Pretty interesting party interactions as well:

Grace and Jan?
Grace and Viconia: sensate versus drow?
Grace and Mazzy or Aerie?
Grace ...

There was a similar thread once in the TOB forum; 2nd edition BGII, but still a lot of good ideas and discussion.

It was eventually moved to the RPG forum.

Top to Bottom - Pac-10.

USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washingtion, Arizona State, Stanford, Washington State have all won the conference title in the last decade; every team is dangerous.

Most top teams - Big 12

Colorado (depending on phase of moon), K-State, Nebraska, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma. Baylor ...

While playing around with a hex editor I found that I could hack the strength to over 200 and get all the to hit and damage bonuses, but my half-orc paladin would then have a carrying capacity of 0 lbs.

The carrying capacity increased as the strength increased up to 47 (49 after the racial bonus ...

Spoilers...

I'm going off distant memory here, but there's a guy in the tavern that you can offer to buy drinks for. Get him talking and he'll mention that the deceased slipped drugs into the defendant's drink before they played. Talk to everybody and get their stories.

At the trial, do NOT bring ...

@serje - Glad you liked it. And a dm, no less! :D

If you haven't tried the inquisitor you really should. I had the same misgivings when I was looking at the paladin kits. One or two immunities (level drain looked like a winner when I was struggling with vampires first time through), a few pluses ...

Just use your imagination and ignore the rpg naysayers :)

Like probably everyone else I once tried to form the perfect party (from a butt-kicking perspective, of course) using only NPCs.

The foundation of that uber party I considered to be an Inquisitor. I played my first game with Imoen, Aerie ...

What level was your monk? I decided to take your advice and test my level 20 monk at max difficulty solo.

Went back to a save right before the corrupted copper and silver dragons. Set game difficulty to max, dismissed Linu, then entered the lair. Ran up to the copper, attempted quivering palm (I'm ...

Beta patch 1.23 adds the dm_spawnitem command.

I downloaded it and tried it, was able to spawn different items, intellect devourer brain, henchmen items, et alia, from the game console.

For some reason couldn't spawn in Aribeth's ring though. Different permutations of the ARIBETH_RING tag fail to ...

Keep playing. The game difficulty doesn't seem to scale up as quickly as the melee characters do.

My monk got his butt liberally kicked (to borrow a phrase from Minsc) on normal difficulty up to about level 7/8.

I played the last half of the game on hardcore and it was easy.

You can always come back at higher level and kill her.

You get some gems and gold and scrolls, but nothing else that you will be able to use right away anyway.

I'm going to have to go back and finish my druid/rogue or my cleric if the fights get that entertaining. Bioware didn't enhance the bad guys since 1.19 did they?

First the two dragons. Walked in (well, figuratively speaking. The monk doesn't walk ...

Frogus, you brought up Clinton and the Lewinski incident. I think that is a good illustration of why corruption in any form cannot be tolerated.

Two things. The first, I heard some people at that time voicing the opinion that Clinton's private life should not be judged. I disagree, because once ...

You can make a profit from forging items.

Most +1 weapons sell back to vendors for about 500-700 gp. Add 500 for forging costs and the total loss to you is about 1000+. But the forged items sell for 1500- 2500, so you clear a nice profit in the end.

You also need a space between dm_spawncreature and the creature code.
I think I remember something about being in the prison to get the devourer thing to work

That's so when you summon the cows from hell, you do it in an isolated place and don't end up wiping out a bunch of civilians.

If anyone is interested, I tested the above exploit to get Yoshimo back with a (official) patched game. It does work. He joins your party no problem.
