Senor Waesel,

There are really six books, they're just divided into three for printing, so when I refer to specific parts of the book, I use the six divisions as it makes it easier to find where.

And as for the rings, that was my guess ;) I thought someone said that all of the great rings gave ...

Other one rings? ;)

Rings of Power.

I'm not sure, the power was never really shown, just implied in the user, therefore, given the user and what they did and their realms, all you can do is speculate. Also, since we don't know how powerful, we can only guess at how many abilities one would have ...

What class would you put Glorfindel, an Elf Lord, in?

:)

As a side note, he was my fave side character. I loved how in book II, Tolkien notes how (paraphrased) "The nazgul were caught between the waters and an Elf Lord revealed in full wrath, and were ...

Gil-Galad wielded Aiglos alongside Elendil with Narsil in the Last Alliance of Elves and Men right? If so, he died alongside Elendil, before Isildur snatched up the shards of Narsil and killed Sauron's physical form. It slips my mind if that was him though....

That would make sense, for Cirdan to give him the ring, as there were three Elven Rings, and three Elven Havens.

Cirdan of the Grey Havens, Elrond of Rivendell, and Galadriel of LothLorien.

Of course, I always thought it was Cirdan and Galadriel that had the rings. Where is the info that it was ...

As a side note, the story of Gondolin can be found in the Book of Lost Tales II. Def required reading for LotR fans ;)

More thoughts on Swash/Mage.

At level 11 as a Swash, you have a -3 Bonus to AC, +3 to hit, and +3 to Damage. Definitely a help b/c if you're going to solo you're going to need to melee sometimes. With a stoneskin and the Staff of Rynn, I can take down most regular creatures. As a Swash, all your ...

I soloed SoA, and am working on ToB as a dually Swash/Mage.

I dualed at 11 as a swash and then gained about six levels from reading scrolls. It's a little rough from there til you get to level 12 and then it starts kicking ass from there. necessary items are: Staff of the Magi, Ring of Gaxx, and ...

I had a rough time with this with my party, but did it the same way Obsidian did. With my solo Swash/Mage (dualed at 11), I nailed em to the floor with a Prot from Magic weapons, then a Sunray, and an Abu Dhazim's, and then a few whacks from the Staff of the Magi.

The game seems so much easier with ...

On the Vala and Maia

Melkor (or Morgoth) was a Vala that broke from the others and tried to bend the Earth to his will. the Maia, Sauron, was his first lieutenant. Against him was the other Vala, and their Maia, and the Firstborn (elves). After defeating him the first time and chaining him, they ...

Gondolin was the strongest of the Elven Cities on Middle Earth. It lay in a valley surrounded by impassable mountains, and in it was girded by walls so high and thick, their like has never been seen before or since. There's ...
