Unsure if you're after 'real' uses or suggestions that could be adapted for a campaign.

If you're just after ideas - read on...
If your DM allowed it, you could always have the vampire dust as an integral part of a potion that performs some kind of vampiric trait. Perhaps, it can be part of a ...

It depends on distances. If they're all close enough - Why not Sleep, Hold Person or THAT kind of spell (I'm too lazy to check duration - ok) on the noble, guy and woman. Beat up the evil, but undoubtedly sexy and scantily clad, cleric, sort out the squabbling townsfolk and back to the inn in time ...

I couldn't agree more. When I used to DM, I would amend any module to suit the player's situation - Knock down a room of 3 Trolls to just 2 ifht e players have had a bad time and are running 'low'. Add a couple of 'random events' if they seem to be walking through it and all the rolls are on their ...

Yes, you're right of course, but you know what I mean. I was just using his example.

Use their lack of role-play AS their role-play and act accordingly...

In my Charasima defence, most players I've ever come across have always considered anything less that 14 to be poor (If they don't get ++s ...

Interactive PDFs

OK - Guess I'll get a slapped wrist for plugging our own site but here goes...

Lair-Craft produces a line of interactive e-Modules, in PDF format, that can be played straight from your laptop.

If you've ever used PDFs in your campaign, then you see just how different these are ...

Well , some of this is also down to the DM, if a Dwarf of Cha12 IS buying everyone drinks and carousing, simply state that the 'locals' are not interested - maybe he's got terrible facial scars or a personal hygene problem...

Let him waste his GP.

As for players who don't 'role play'. I always ...

What about having it fight against a wight or similar that 'just happens' to hit it a few times - they have level drain. THAT way, it can still be a minotaur but only be level 2 or 3.

Unless I'm reading this thread wrong, or someone know of rules that wouldn't allow that... lol

Horrible, horrible, player...

WAAAAY back, we used to play with one particular guy who played the game, but not in the spirit of the game.

Whenever he DM'd he'd ALWAYS give each room location a 3' wide doorway, to ensure that players could ONLY enter one at a time.

Whenever he played, he'd ...
