Different armor types have different attack roll penalties or bonusses for the person attacking them.

So when fighting someone in Chain mail, if you have a bludgeoning weapon you get a +2 to hit. If fighting someone in Leather, I believe you get a +2 to hit if you use a piercing weapon.

You can ...

Yeah, the reputation system isn't perfect. It tries to be two things at the same time:
1) Reputation. So far so good. You solve big quests successfully, and the people of the land will hear about it, giving you discounts etc.
2) A number indicating how evil or good you are. This works not quite so ...

Suldanesselar, because it feels vibrant even when there is a war going on. Lots to do, great battles, and there is a sense of urgency.

Tenser's Transformation. On a fighter/mage. Pure carnage.

Blackrazor. It comes late, but it oozes flavour... and death. For good parties it would have to be the ...

This thread explains at least three times how you can make everyone survive. :) Exactly. You need the right people for each job. You asked a biologist to be a tech expert, an incredibly angry loner biotic to be a team leader, and grunt was taken because you did not choose one of your best biotics ...

So that was more time wasted. You know what else annoys me? That to cast lvl 9 spells you have to have Edwin. I don't want Edwin. Anyway, at least I've given up on the rolling... that was an addiction.
They have not implemented that rule from the 2e PnP rules. Any mage can cast 9th level spells ...

Considering you want a relatively easy enough run through, I'd argue against blades and fighter/mages, who require a lot of fiddling with spells. Inquisitors are very simple. There are few binds that a double strength dispel magic cannot get you out of.

neutral characters will start to whinge when your reputation reaches 19. They will not leave your party, but if you kick them out, they will not want to rejoin later.

Evil characters start complaining earlier (13, I think), but will also actually pack up and leave after a certain time once the rep ...

OK, thx guys (and girls?? :D ) Just one more thing... What the heck is a speed factor in weapon descriptions, and is it better for it to be a higher or lower number??? :o As soon as combat starts, your character won't immediatly attack. First, a 10 sided die will be rolled (virtually, of course ...

Sure there should. If a party member is killed, you should find their garments and objects in a neat pile on the ground. Always happens. :) Note that I said "in the temple" :) . I thought the raise dead spell could only be purchased in temples in BG1/Tutu. Apparently, we are talking about scrolls ...

"Lawful" does not mean obeying laws. Stupid, I know, but in D&D it always leans more to abiding by a certain personal code, whereas "chaotic" characters would be more inclined to decide one way on Tuesday and the other way on Wednesday.

In PnP D&D, it is specifically stated that a paladin should ...

There shouldn't even be a bundle of clothes... so I am wondering: did you remove the party member in question from your party while in the temple? Because you shouldn't. The only way to make a raise dead work is by selecting the greyed out (dead) character, who is still in your party, and then ...

I think it might be a glitchy Jaheira Romance. If you kick her out of the party and then take her back in, the romance will have ended and the problem is solved. Obviously, at cost of the romance.

At the very last, Level 13. Level 9 is a very popular option also. I am guessing you are about 11 now? I would not recommend Dual classing this late in your first run through. A single class fighter is actually rather powerful, and dual classing at this level means you probably wouldn't regain your ...

If you drop him right outside the keep though, he might not reappear after finishing that quest. Hence, it is best to send him back to his home.

You will want to replay BG2, so you could wait for your second runthrough to pick up Jan and use him all the way through. I must admit though, he is ...
