You are right about magazine articles either being full of waffle or only telling you what you know anyway. Glad I didn't miss anything - much! Anyway, I have only just completed the main quest in the current Elder Scrolls and still have Tribunal to do. Besides, I shouldn't get too impatient for the ...

I am very envious of all who got to read that article. I am in the UK so couldn't buy it but would have done if it were possible! My own gaming mag had an article in this month but it was a sorry length! Let's hope that the US article will be released more generall somewhere sometime - soon!

I see ...

For Morrowind, I had a computer that exceeded the minimum requirements but didn't meet the optimum. It didn't run very well at all so I bought a new computer! I am hoping that this computer will do for Oblivion but am saving up in case. Perhaps we will get a free computer with the game - like ...

If you were in the Thieves Guild (and of course, I am not admitting anything!), wouldn't you try to keep it secret and not tell everyone? Perhaps you could be in the TG and the FG etc until you got caught doing something terrible - like stealing! Perhaps levels of punishment/ostracism according to ...

I remember in one of the Kings Quest games, you could get a job sweeping out the stables. If you did it for long enough, your stats went up. Some jolly music played while you puffed and panted over the job! So yes, jobs would be fun.

It seems a great idea that NPCs could steal your stuff. It might be good to have a bank though so that careful types could stow their money away more securely than just having it in their pockets. What a target a bank would be for an aspiring thief!

I should like the game to be even bigger! Also, transport available for individual use such as boats, horses etc would be good. How frustrating to find a rowing boat tied up to the shore, hop on and find you can't go anywhere in it! I quite fancy having a small boat to ply the rivers with.

My box also says the same apart from the 'single-player' bit. I bought it in the UK if that makes any difference.

'You have to remember that the Hordes of the Underdark expansion brings much more to the game then simply the module you play through. That is why there are multiplayer requierments also, because the Neverwinter Nights concept was ment for multiplayer - except the module in itself apparently ...

Just to let you know AnhkTepoT that we got HOU to work in MP. We both hosted our own MP game and got as far as going down the well and then saved our characters and quitted. Then I loaded my MP game with me down the well and my daughter joined my game. She ported in to the game in the chamber where ...

I have just looked on the back of the box for HOU and, in the system requirements, it lists the requirements for MP mode! If that doesn't imply that this game is for MP, I don't know what does especially given that both the main game and the first XP were MP! There is nothing on the box to indicate ...

'My tactics may seem devious Jan Mistique :P , but the most important thing is the result rather than the tactics.. And it is a definite SUCCESS!'

Wow AnhkTepoT! Am I impressed or am I impressed?! For 'devious' read 'exceptionally intelligent'! As for taking the time to read your 'long' post, it ...

Map not Saved in Multiplayer Mode

Well, I'm REALLY FED UP with this!!!!!!!!! How could Microsoft do this to me! My daughter and I are playing Legends of Aranna in MP mode and are doing well except that the save game doesn't save the map. It appears that there are only five geographical points where you can enter the game and all the ...

I shall be interested to see how you get on with these devious tactics AnhkTepoT! :D We haven't touched the NWN XP since my rant here! :p Instead, we have now got the XP to Dungeon Siege going (Legends of Aranna) and are doing well with that except that the save game doesn't save the map. It appears ...

pming etc is great if you've got friends - but what if you haven't?! I do see the difficulties though of having a chat room. I speak only from a user point of view and that's the easy part! ;) :p ;) :p

Can we have a weepy smillie? One with a violin playing in the background would be nice. :D :D :D

This is a good idea Knarf. If an uncleared membership list causes lag, taking it to it's logical conclusion, the board will eventually seize up altogether under the weight of long absent members. ;) ;) ;) ;) Members absent for a certain amount of time could be sent an email to ask whether they wish ...

Morrowind Versus Everything Else!

Morrowind is, in my opinion, a unique game. When I think of role playing, I don't think of becoming some predetermined muscly male character with a beard. Given that I am female (and don't have a beard!), I hope that you can understand my feelings on the matter ...

Thanks for that. It sounds unreliable to use the scripting and I don't want to get blown up! Perhaps I'm not meant to be a spell caster. :D  :D

Automatic Spellcasting

I have played all the Baldurs Gate and Icewind Dale games and am just starting on Icewind Dale II.

Only one thing has bugged me in all these games (not bad eh?!). That is that it is not possible (or at least I haven't found it to be possible) to set my spellcasters to do their thing without ...
