After waiting for the regrowth to let me cast AARD the screen shifts like it was going to save the game but I don't get a stone. Maybe I'm not supposed to get an actual stone? What does this (or other) stones do?

How to select "special" talents

Has anyone figured this out? I think it must be done through the "talent tree" as suggested by Fearless. It seems to me that the special potions appear in the list of potions and oils and should be available when you have the correct ingredients. I haven't tried to ...

How to kill echinops

How does one "rinse"? Thanks for the response. I think I have that one figured out. Rinse in the watery parts of the swamp. Right?

I am having trouble with the echinops in the swamp area, I get killed every time even though I blast them with fire as often as I can. Eternal Fire Shrines "SPOILER"

You need to light all of the shrines. AFAIK you only use a holy flame by lighting a shrine, and so you can't have less than you need. But if this is somehow the case, the first thing I'd try is talking to the Reverend again.

I started lighting the shrine candles too late in the day, i.e. after midnight, and did not get them finished before dawn because of various interruptions. Can I get more votive candles or does it really matter if I light all the shrines?

The only way is to keep pressing 'Esc'. Other than that, nothing. Tried tweaking the ini files but it did nothing and the same goes for deleting the intro movie files (the only difference is there is no video but the sound from the movie will play from start to finish).

The first few times the introduction is interesting but becomes rather annoying as time goes on. Is there a way to avoid having to wait for this intro to finish and go straight to "Saved games"?
