Yes it is, couldn't find one from the movie.
Have you seen the mini-series? It's very good, the weird thing is that the sepcial effect in the (much older) movie are better, but the mini-series describes the story better!

My thoughts exactly. I guess they had less money for special effects (it kinda reminded me of "Xena" or Hercules when they did combat scenes. Worms looked better though. The story *was* explained better too.

The movie is under-rated. I rather like it but can see why it failed at the Box Office.

Someone at IMDB said "So Much To Love in a Film So Bad" I think that describes it very well.
The Dune story is way to complex to be filmed in 1,5hour.
There is over 2hour cut out of the movie!

my thoughts entirely. the design and sets are beautiful, and it's a damn good sci-fi romp, but the storyline seems convoluted in the extreme due to its compression. still damn good though, i'll have to look into the miniseries thingy...

The min-serie is even understandable for someone who hasn't read the book.
It's very good, the same story, but i goes deeper in the how and why of the story instead of just the basics

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

The force is now with me! I propose a new contest, this one with still portraits only. Never you mind about moving images. They shouldn't have counted in the first place. For best avatar I vote... um, lesse... myself! I will force-push anyone into submission (or Jedi mind trick into agreeing) him who dares claim otherwise. :D :)

My RL avatar...

Well guys I have reached the point where I feel the need to move on from my magic man avatar. The next step, IMO is a muppet avatar.

Anyone have any idea where I can find a decent muppet avatar, barring Ms Piggy of course. ;)

5 months later, now that we've changed our avatars and seen others's new avatars, are there any new opinions? :D
