A Time of War and Daggers

I'm not quite sure what to expect from Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale. Bedlam is a new developer and their only other game is the yet to be released, and totally unrelated Scratch: Ultimate DJ for PS3. The game promises a mix of combat, character customisation, loot-gathering and all the other things that make this specific type of game so addictive. There's also four player co-op to throw into the mix if that's your bag. What I find most interesting about Daggerdale is the fact that this is really the first time that the D&D license has been used for anything other than a AAA title (I'm none too sure what I would classify the Neverwinter Nights mobile game). I have a sneaking suspicion that the game may be something of an experiment for Wizards of the Coast to see how smaller games will work in the franchise. I can only see it as a good thing there are lots of great existing adventure modules out there that would work fantastically as $10 downloadable titles Keep on the Borderlands or Queen of the Spiders immediately leap to mind as demanding so sweet co-op treatment.
