Heroes of Dragon Age Reviews

BioWare's latest RPG offering, Heroes of Dragon Age, is the subject of several more critiques that seem to hover around the "mediocre" spectrum.
HardcoreDroid gives it a 2/5:
The store is deviously simple; gems are the only thing you can buy, aside from a one-time offer to purchase a guaranteed epic character when you first launch the game. In the interest of a fully balanced review I spent around ten dollars on gems to see how far that would get me. It turns out, it doesn't get you very far at all. I blew through all the gems in two days and failed to complete even 50% of the main story content. Yes, it is entirely possible to never even open the store and complete this game, but it's going to take so long that anyone but the most dedicated Dragon Age fan will lose interest and migrate on to a better experience. If you're feeling the need for an RPG fix and start eyeing Heroes of Dragon Age, don't bother. Look for a better game, because they're a dime a dozen.
TabTimes gives it a 3/5:
Given its lack of an original story, not to mention lack of battle interactivity, Heroes of Dragon Age is not exactly a suitable predecessor to next year's Dragon Age: Inquisition. That said, the strong adherence to the established lore adds value to what would have been an otherwise generic collectable card game. Knowing that the next card you unlock might be a familiar warrior from the prior games builds a sense of anticipation. If you have prior emotional attachments to some of these heroes, the game's quests and PvP matches provide more than enough opportunities to level up and grow your adventurers.
MacLife gives it a 3.5/5:
Heroes of Dragon Age is a generally entertaining romp through Thedan lore, but a lack of battle interaction and an overly limiting stamina bar blight the whole.
And 148apps also gives it a 3.5/5:
Heroes of Dragon Age'˜s approach to visuals is extremely detailed. In fact, they're so detailed that one can even make out some skin textures. This works in the game's favor for the most part, but also can give the visuals a level of glitchiness. In terms of the strategic element, this game is certainly challenging. Although while not challenging in the traditional sense, the differentiation of power levels, health, and speed makes for some tough decisions on how to achieve the best outcome.
