Last year we learned that George Ziets, a video game designer best known for his work on the Mask of the Betrayer expansion for Neverwinter Nights 2, started a new RPG-focused studio - Digimancy Games. And while we still have no idea what project the studio is currently working on, according to the man’s Twitter, they’ve managed to find a major publisher for it. Check it out:
Here’s some cool news. We (@DigimancyGames) just signed a contract with one of my favorite publishers, based on a pitch we wrote for them. Work begins soon, stay tuned!

And here’s a different take on the same thing:
Over the past few months, Digimancy has been talking to a major publisher about developing a game based on a pitch we wrote. We’re excited to announce that the deal has been signed! We'll have more to share down the road, but for now, thanks to everyone who helped get us here!

And seeing how crowdfunding managed to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that developers don’t need any publisher interference to ruin their games, having a publisher, and some financial stability that goes along with it, can only be seen as a good thing.
