Just thought some might like to know (as I did..), someone from the official Wiz 8 forum hex edited the Wizardry 8 demo and found access to the descriptions to all the spells. Though he didn't type out all the spell specifics, he was kind enough to list all 101 spells, delineated by type. :) The Air category is as follows:

Sleep
Missle Shield
Shrill Sound
Sonic Boom
Cure Poison
Noxious Fumes
Shadow Hound
Silence
Whirlwind
Purify Air
Return to Portal
Set Portal
Toxic Cloud
Pandemonium
Asphyxiation
Death Cloud
