Without sounding too "punny", the developers really can sit back and consider this game a Triumph. This is what a good game is supposed to be like. Visually stunning but not overpowering to take away from the game play. A humorous and interesting story, but the real heroes are the minions themselves. I think the monkey from Ape Escape have competition.
The second is at GameZone with an overall score of 8.5/10:
Overlord is truly a fun experience. The game looks great and plays great. There are clever pieces of humor thrown in, with some tongue-in-cheek moments. The NPCs are varied and have some interesting personalities. While the game itself can be completed in a weekend, there is an insidious element (charming? No, no, no, this is an gvil' game; charming can't be used to describe it under any circumstance) that will lure you back into its colorful and imaginative world. Overlord should appeal to not only adventure/RPG fans, but those who are looking for a different take in the persistent video-game battle between good and evil.
And the third is at MSXboxWorld with an overall score of 7.5/10:
If you like adventuring, dark humor, acting evil and being in control then Overlord is well worth a look especially if you enjoy exercising the old grey matter. However if you are more action orientated gamer then Overlord might not be for you and so as I mentioned a rental is probably your best bet.
