Overview
1 - Crate
You'll find
Camping Supplies inside this crate.
2 - Treasure Chamber
To get into this treasure chamber, you'll have to detect a button on the wall next to it. Pressing the button will then open the entrance door. Inside the chamber you'll find an
Ornate Sword Hilt, which you'll need for the quest
The Blade of the Endless Paths. You'll also find a
Fine Mace and a
Fine Large Shield in a shelf.
3 - Table
You'll find an
Expedition Log Page on the table here.
4 - Pool of Blood
If you jump down from the pit on
Level 2, then this is where you'll end up.
5 - Drake
At this spot you'll meet a drake who will grant you the "honor" of being its next meal. When you refuse, it and the xaurips with it will attack. This can be a tough fight depending on where you are in the game. For an easier time, retreat to the south and go through the doorway so you can block off most of the melee attackers. Then focus your ranged attackers on the priests and start weeding out the xaurips so you can eventually focus on the drake.
None of the combatants will drop anything interesting when they die, but in a bone pile next to the drake you'll find an
Amulet of Health and
Ilfan Byrngar's Solace. Nearby you can also detect a second bone pile containing a random magical item.
6 - Drafden's Corpse
On this corpse you'll find
Hirbel's Protective Skin, a
Crested Hat, and an
Expedition Log Page.
7 - Trapped Sarcophagi
Inside these two trapped sarcophagi, you'll find the
Peridot Overseer Seal and the
Sapphire Overseer Seal, which you'll need for the task
Seals of the Endless Paths.
8 - Merec's Corpse
On Merec's corpse you'll find a
Bloody Expedition Log Page.
9 - Sealed Door
You'll need the three
Overseer Seals (including the two at #7) to open this door. See the task entry for
Seals of the Endless Paths for more information.
