Walkthrough
1 - Ruined Mill
The ruined mill is involved in the quest
The Heat of the Day.
2 - Raspberry Patch
The raspberry patch is involved in the quest
The Heat of the Day. You'll find lots of raspberry bushes here.
3 - Crypt
You'll find a bunch of undead creatures inside the crypt, including alps, which you'll need to kill for the
Alp Contract. You'll also find a Circle of the Barren Lands (a circle for the Quen sign), a
Cat Harness (which you'll need for the quest
Small Problems), and the trophy cemetaur Ureus.
Ureus is located behind a breakable wall in the southern part of the crypt. The easiest way to kill him is to leave the wall intact and to cast the Igni sign through it. That way you'll cook Ureus without him being able to attack you. When Ureus dies he'll drop a
Cemetaur Head, and when you take the trophy to Tobias Hoffman (in
Murky Waters), he'll reward you with 800 orens and 7000 experience points.
4 - Corpses / Wyverns
At this spot you'll find a pair of mangled corpses, plus the wyverns that probably did the mangling. You won't be able to loot the corpses, but you will find the steel sword
Harvall on the ground next to them.
5 - Small Farm
You won't find much of interest at the small farm, just a camp site and a corpse containing
Plum Cordial and a
Torch.
6 - Teyu / Pond
You'll find the evil vodyanoi priest Teyu in the pond. Killing him won't affect the quest
Ripples. When Teyu dies, he'll drop
Teyu's Head, and when you take the trophy to Tobias Hoffman (in
Murky Waters), he'll reward you with 800 orens and 7000 experience points.
7 - Druids' Circle
The druids' circle is involved in the quest
Hunting the Wild Hunt (see #10).
8 - Circle of Walking Fire
This circle is for the Igni sign.
9 - Circle of the Winter Storm
This circle is for the Aard sign.
10 - Hermit's Hut
Either in or near the hut, you should encounter a hermit. He'll tell you about the Holy Grail, and he'll give you the quest
Hunting the Wild Hunt. The hermit also acts as a shopkeeper (for books, ingredients and more), and he'll play dice poker with you.
Note: There are actually two huts here. The hermit's hut is the one beyond the barrows. The other hut is one of the possible rewards for completing
Hunting the Wild Hunt.
