1 - Menestheus
You'll find Menestheus (#1) here surrounded by a bunch of his own soldiers. When you talk to him, he'll trigger the side quest "A Noisy Diversion." He'll tell you that Odysseus (#4) sent him and his men down here to kill the daemon queen Leucothea (#1a) "as loudly as we could," to create a diversion for Odysseus and his men at the palace wall. Menestheus will then ask you to "lead the charge."
When you head south to face Leucothea, a couple of Menestheus' men will follow you to help you out. These men are optional, so if they head straight for trouble, you can let them die. Leucothea herself shouldn't be too tough to kill, but she'll have a lot of daemons with her, so it's better to move slowly and carefully rather than to follow the tone of the quest and charge at her madly.
After you've killed Leucothea, when you return to Menestheus, you'll receive 35,000 experience points.
"Someday I will tell my descendants of the day I fought for the honor and glory of Elysium shoulder to shoulder with the great Titan Killer."
2 - Eurylochus
Eurylochus will trigger the side quest "The Shards of Erebus." He'll tell you that Hades controls the daemons on the surface through the use of five Shards of Erebus, and that if those shards were to be destroyed, then the daemons would stop following his orders. You'll find two of the shards inside the
Palace of Hades, and you'll find the other three inside the
Royal Chambers.
3 - Elpenor
Elpenor will trigger the side quest "Hades' Generals." He'll tell you that Hades imbued three of his generals with some of his own power, and that even if you were able to defeat Hades, the generals might be able to rule in his place. You'll find one of the generals in the
Palace of Hades, and you'll find the other two in the
Prison of Souls.
4 - Odysseus
When you talk to Odysseus the first time, he'll aim a siege engine at the
Palace of Hades and blow a hole in the wall (Exit B). When you talk to him a second time, he'll tell you that Persephone sings of "betrayal and imprisonment," and he'll recommend that you free her. You'll find Persephone inside the
Palace of Hades.
Talking to Odyssesus will complete the main quest "The Battle for Elysium" and trigger a new main quest called "The Immortal Throne." It will also grant you 20,000 experience points.
Note: Odysseus was a figure in Greek mythology. He was the one who came up with the idea for the Trojan Horse, and he was the star of Homer's epic poem the
Odyssey. You can read more about Odysseus
