Following Reaver's confession at the end of the The Hero of Skill quest, Lucien's army will begin an invasion of Bloodstone in search of "the one named Reaver". Irritated with the concept that Lucien is now betraying him while he was in the middle of betraying you, Reaver leads you through a "rather handy escape tunnel" into Reaver's Rear Passage.

The tunnels below Bloodstone were built ages ago for smuggling, but now you're using them to flee from Lucien's army. After listening to Reaver's hilarious story about the last time he used these tunnels and Theresa's warning about Lucien's use of Great Shards, one of the walls will explode and a couple waves of Spire Guards will arrive. Use their distance to your advantage by firing your pistol/rifle/crossbow at them (or the exploding barrels) from afar until they stop streaming in from the newly formed hole.

More explosions will rock the tunnels, so be prepared to deal with plenty more Spire Guards. Your ranged weapon is your friend during these battles, so don't be afraid to use it. Continue through the mine shafts until you vault down a hole. Just ahead is Smuggler's Beach, where Reaver's escape ship (which just so happens to be called The Reaver) awaits. A handful more Spire Guards guard the way, so deal with them and then step back out into the salty air.

Garth and Hammer are already on the beach waiting for you. Things don't go quite as planned, though. After Reaver collapses the tunnel with explosives, a Great Shard floats in and destroys his escape ship before teleporting in several Spire Guards. It will continue to spawn more guards (and even smaller shards) until you destroy it, so try to concentrate your fire at the bright white light when it appears atop the shard. Eventually the Great Shard will collapse into the water and the four of you will relish at your great teamwork.

Before you can do too much celebrating, Theresa will make appearance and convince Reaver that he must help you bring down Lucien. The four of you will take Theresa's hand and teleport to the top of the hill in Bower Lake in order to begin a ritual that will bestow the "ultimate weapon" necessary to defeat Lucien. With the quest complete, you'll earn 10,000 renown points and the Shard Shard trophy. On we go to The Weapon.
