So what does determine outcome?

Hmmm. I think my skillz must be off: I lost three crew in the final fight. :(

I put Legion through the ducts, and had Samarra take the other team. I took Jack and Wrex with me. Everyone made it to the meet-up, but Legion got shot as we tried to close the door ...

Well, now, this is a proper subject for discussion! :)

A few of the favorites I have come across in my long years:

- I am very, very fond of various beers from the Paulaner brewery in Germany. I believe they have one of the best Hefeweizen beers in the world, and I also very much like their ...

I own the PC version, and have now played through the game 3 times.

I liked it very, very much.

On the positive side:
- Excellent graphics; it was more than the graphics, though. The manner in which they managed to make human movement seem realistic on a 'puter was really, really impressive. I'm ...

It took me a while, too. I don't know if there is something particular that you have to do, but what seemed to work for me was killing all of the monsters in the area.

Peace.

@MageLord: well, maybe I'll be around again when you are of age. ;) Thanks for the London Eye suggestion.

@DW: I kinda figured when I logged in that this place would be all new people. It's good to see one or two die-hards. I was thinking back to names like Georgi, Nippy, GruntBoy (RIP), and - isn ...

London calling

Hey. So, it's been a real long time since I signed in, but I always told some of the Brits here that if I was ever in the neighborhood, I would look them up, and, well, I'm heading to London 18 June - 24 June. If you are one of the old-timers that know me, and would be around the Thames estuary ...

AFAIK, you don't even have to "sneak" up on enemies to get the sneak attack (AKA backstab) damage. You can either sneak up on them; or, you can attack them from behind while they are engaged in combat. (Magrus said this, but again said "sneak around," so I thought I'd clarify if you weren't sure ...

I was definitely using the silver sword, so that didn't seem to help. I re-loaded from a save game just prior to the battle a few times, but didn't go back to older saves. Frankly, I'm not real concerned about finishing the last few moments of the game (well, I assume that they would be the last ...

Yeah, tried that, too. Didn't seem to work.

I must say, I've been real lucky in terms of bugs. I hear a lot of people complain about them, but this is the first (and only) one I have come across so far.

Yep, I have Jerro with me, but he isn't talking. The problem is I can't even kill Garius. From what I have read on various sites, Jerro only starts telling me what to do after the first phase (which includes killing Garius) is done - ?

I'm kinda thinking I'm bugged ... so I started a new game ...

Last Battle with Garius (spoilers)

This doesn't seem right ... I'm in the Vale, got to the room with the ritual statues and Black Garius; he gets some of my people to turn on me; we all fight; I lose a couple of companions to the Balor, but do manage to kill all enemies ... except Garius. I keep smackin' him down, and he keeps ...

Solved

Well, I do believe I have hit on a solution, though probably not in a recommended fashion.

I was, as noted, having issues with NWN2. So, using the Fn-F7 feature (which toggles between only the computer monitor, to only the TV, to both), I set the mode to computer screen only and started ...

Well, I worked with the DVI to HDMI cable, and got the screen to appear correctly on both the laptop and the TV (finally able to adjust resolution). I can now see exactly what I see on the laptop screen on the big (TV) screen. Yay!

However, trying to run NWN2, I get a message "Could not find ...

The short answer: male human CN cleric.

The longer answer: I play any of the following regularly: male human cleric; male human CG ranger; female human LG paladin; male human LG monk. Those are my favorites, and they fit my play style pretty well - I tend to be a bit of a goody two-shoes ;) and I ...

Hey, thanks, Malta. I haven't tried the S-video, for a number of reasons: I heard they have lower quality output; I didn't know if I had the capability (not having that tv tuner); and I didn't have the cables. Maybe I'll go looking for the cables at a computer store and see if they can tell me if I ...

Using television/monitor

So I bought a TV - my first one in a few hundred years - and I intend to use it for a display. But I found that TVs have become so exceedingly complex that I can't get the thing to work. If you have any experience/expertise, read on and I welcome any advice!

The TV is a Philips 37" LCD. It has the ...

[QUOTE=Athena] I have one thing to say here.
Anything that is hydrocarbon based can be replaced by carbohydrates.
